Amazing Hotel
Pros:

The hotel is amazing, everything was perfect. I start with the food, it was just great, you have a huge selection and varity and everything was extremely delicous. The staff is very kind and helpful. The poolside is beautiful, you have a lot of space, even if it seems full, you always find a place to chill. The beach is very beautiful, its fine sand and you can walk far into the see and still can stand. Even at the beach you can just order your drinks with your smart phone and they bring it very quickly to your table. The rooms are very clean and you have plenty of space. There are a few alacart restaurants, i did bot try them since the Hemera Restaurant was already enough for me. The animations at night were great, first it starts with kids dance show, where your children can join. After that there were different groups each night, for example, dance band, concerts, wizard show, acrobatic group etc. I want to thank Hemera and its staff for everything they did to make my stay comfortable.

Cons:

While walking into the water at the beach, there are a few rocks inside the water which are dangerous. If you wear water shoes then its not a problem but if not, then you have to be careful. If you want to avoid the the rocks you can just walk over the pier and go into the deeper water.

Wunderschönes Hotel mit tollem Essen, sehr freundlichem Personal und einer traumhaften Anlage – absolut empfehlenswert!
Pros:

Ein wunderschönes Hotel! Alles war sehr sauber und gepflegt, das Essen super lecker und abwechslungsreich und das gesamte Personal unglaublich freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Anlage ist traumhaft und perfekt zum Entspannen. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und würden jederzeit wieder ins Barut Hemera kommen. Absolute Empfehlung!

Bad first impression but got much better

Lovely grounds, decent rooms, and hard-working staff, but let down by visible underinvestment, average food, unmeasured
Pros:

The grounds and outdoor areas are genuinely nice and comfortable, with good quality sunloungers, lovely green lawns, and palm trees — you can tell someone cares about the gardens. The pool area is a real plus, and the kids club was good. The rooms are pretty good, and when we had an issue at check-in, they moved us without fuss. The à la carte restaurants were pretty decent and enjoyable, and guest relations were genuinely helpful getting these booked for us across the week. Drinks were decent in variety across the board, mostly cocktails made with cheap alcohol, soda, and flavoured syrups, and drinks service was fine in general. The staff themselves are good — friendly and hard-working.

Cons:

Honestly, this was not what I expected for the price we paid. There’s a general feeling of underinvestment and a lack of management/leadership across the hotel, and staff are clearly overworked and often left running in chaos mode rather than being properly supported. The hotel building itself is looking dilapidated and needs a refurb, which doesn’t match the price point. Entertainment was really average, and some nights were flat-out bad. Food was very average — nothing to call home about — with lots of cheese and tomatoes in different forms but not much real variation, and meat options were extremely limited, with the lamb or beef consistently tough and chewy. At the à la carte restaurants we often felt rushed once seated. Drinks were never measured, so the same cocktail ordered twice in a week never tasted the same, and the drinks cut-off times of 12-2pm made no sense and were genuinely annoying — the same applies to the waterslides and children’s pool area also closing 12-2pm, a strange, frustrating choice if you’re travelling with a child. The biggest disappointment by far was the beach and sea access: the first few metres into the water are covered in large, sharp rocks — I injured a toe and gave up on swimming in the sea entirely — and while there’s a plastic pier, it’s mossy, uncomfortable, and not a real alternative.

A holiday paradise with brilliant hospitality
Pros:

Fantastic location on the beach. The hotel buildings are surrounded by lush tropical gardens. Stylish restaurant, lounge and cafe areas that make you feel relaxed. Service from all staff is exceptional - proactive, friendly and generous. A paradise place to spend your holiday.

Great hotel, would return
Pros:

Beautiful hotel with a great layout and a wonderful overall atmosphere. We very much enjoyed our stay. The restaurants offered great food, and the à la carte dining experience was a particular highlight. The grounds are thoughtfully designed, making it easy and enjoyable to explore the property.

We especially appreciated the hotel’s family-friendly approach. Thoughtful touches such as providing a complimentary stroller and other useful amenities for our child made our stay much more comfortable.

Overall, it was a great experience, and we would be happy to return.

Cons:

Our room was pleasant and comfortable. However, the building itself, particularly the hallways, could benefit from some refurbishment. This did not significantly affect our overall experience, but it would help improve the property’s appearance.

We also felt that the overall service level could be improved. Some interactions with staff members were less welcoming than expected, and a more consistently attentive approach would enhance the guest experience. We were also a little surprised that the kids’ area (slides) close at 5 PM, which felt a bit early.

Despite these points, we still had an enjoyable stay overall.
