My 19-year-old son was traveling from Boston to Shanghai (where he attends college). His flight from Boston to Seattle was diverted to Boise, Idaho, and he spent about 6–7 hours stranded at the airport - three of them sitting on the runway. The crew timed out and the flight was rescheduled for the next morning. He quickly booked a room at Comfort Suites Airport in Boise through Booking.com so he’d have a place to sleep, as many passengers were stranded.
When he arrived just 30 minutes later, the hotel refused to check him in, saying guests must be 21 years or older to stay. He asked for a refund, but they refused, saying it was a non-cancelable booking and that the age restriction was listed on their website.
He had no issue finding another nearby hotel that accepted 19 year olds, which makes Comfort Suites’ stance even more unreasonable. The night manager, Chet, was kind and tried to help, but when we followed up with the day manager, Omar, he was extremely rude to my husband and even hung up the phone. We escalated the issue to Comfort Suites corporate, but they declined to assist.
This entire experience left us disappointed with both the hotel and the brand. We travel extensively and have never encountered such poor customer service. I just wanted to warn anyone considering staying at this property. They are NOT customer-friendly and seem uninterested in resolving issues fairly.
Location was good, staff was very good and breakfast was good.
Pool area and workout room not so good. Sauna seems to be open but not working. So why is it open??? Hot tub not very warm.
Breakfast was ok except sausages were cold and they were always out of biscuits and i ask if they were going to get more out and was told that that was extra and they only had one serving and were not going to put anymore out so i guess if you want biscuits and gravy you better there first thing!!!! I paid for full breakfast not just what ever was left over...
It was quiet and comfortable.. the staff was very helpful
There were no jets in the hot tub.. that was a bummer.. other than that, everything was fine
It’s older and worn but good enough

Location
Only working ice machine was on the third floor. They seem to be shorthanded and we’re unable to come in and freshen the room after two days. I was told I had to bring the towels upfront myself. Nobody came to the room in the four days that I was there.
Staff was kind, room was spacious and bed was comfortable! Decent breakfast.
The curtains did not work and therefore light got into the room. I was on the e first floor so there was no privacy either.
The wifi was terrible, i traveled for work it mad it difficult
We stayed overnight on 1/28/26 in room 312. Several issues happened during our stay. When we first checked in, the desk clerk took my driver's license to make a copy of it and also said they needed a copy of my credit card (front and back). I said no because my credit card has my account number and pin number on the back along with my name on the front of the card. I thought that was not needed and would have been too easy for someone to get my personal information from the credit card.
1) Upon getting into the room, I checked the sink and noticed that it was not draining and really had very little water pressure coming out of the faucet.
So I went down to the front desk and told the clerk. I asked her if we could switch rooms and she said the only rooms she had the TV's did not work. I said this is not) going to happen, So she had to call an off site service man to come and fix our issue. He did fix the problem with the drain.
2) the mirror lights in the bathroom (3 of them) were missed matched for lighting.
3) the clock on the night stand did not work. Upon a closer look it did not have a power supply cord and also no batteries. So back down to the desk I went. She said she didn't have a power cord for it and the batteries she tried did not work. So I just left it at the front desk.
4) The closet mirror had a crack in it. So I notified the front desk so we would not get charged. Upon check in they said that they had put a $200.00 deposit for any incidentals.
5) There was not a Do Not Disturb sign to hang on the door. I really did not think too much of it until housekeeping knocked on our room door at 8:10am. Mind you that check out is not until 11:00am. I'm surprised that housekeeping didn't check with the front desk to see if we had checked out.
Positive comments,
The TV had lots of channel choices.
The shower was also good.
The breakfast had enough choices to choose from.
