Building work with no compensation!
Pros:

The public areas were great

Cons:

I paid for a good quality room with a view of the mountain. However, outside the hotel there was a lot of building work around the perimeter. The actual views were marred by only seeing the building site rubble and any work in progress. I think the hotel should have warned me and also put up screens to mask the work. Neither was done.Plus compensation for the lack of care in presenting the hotel in such a bad light. The staff were unfazed when I complained. All the rooms were affected. I booked the hotel in the strength of the high quality photos. This was a 'Remarkable Room'.at around £350/night. I've booked 16+ plus hotels for my 3 week New Zealand trip. This was the most.expensive and the most disappointing.

Ok but wouldn’t stay again
Pros:

Beautiful view from the room

Cons:

No allocated parking, so you may be paying a lot to stay the night but have to park on the street if others use the hotel carpark. À la carte breakfast was $45pp didn’t get told what we would be getting.
No free milk provided in room to use tea/coffee facilities (when all other 5 hotels we stayed at provided a huge range of coffee/tea/sugar and milk)
Only a few TV channels - didn’t offer smart tv apps ( Netflix, Prime etc - when other cheaper hotels did)

First Class
Pros:

One of the most amazing hotels I have ever stayed at. The view was to die for and the staff treated you as family. Andrea, Ceren, Oliver, Clay and Florence just to name a few could not do enough to help. If you get a chance, I would highly recommend eating at Nest Restaurant and do the wine pairing also. Food presentation is as good as I have seen.

Amazing experience just to costly.
Pros:

The Location is great, quiet, easy parking, have a wonderful view. The bedside is not lying facing the lake, but still comfortable. The atmosphere is very good, including the room, lobby, restaurant, parking lot. You can smell the unique scent from the hotel. The room is clean, not too big, and just fits your needs. The room is perfect, but the value is not quite good, too fancy. No kitchen or microwave. The housekeeping takes out the trash(not all of it) and makes the bed(only the sheet).

Good stay
Pros:

We had a really good stay at this resort and enjoyed the family-friendly environment. The place was clean, cozy and comfortable, which made our stay very relaxing.

The only downside was that the food options were a bit expensive and the breakfast selection was quite limited. Other than that, everything was great. We would definitely visit again and would recommend this place to families looking for a relaxing getaway.

Small room with nice view
Pros:

Stayed at Kamana Lakehouse during our Queenstown trip and overall it was a pleasant stay with a beautiful lake view.

We booked the lake view room and the scenery was definitely one of the highlights. Front desk staff were also very friendly and helpful throughout the stay.

However, there was ongoing construction during our visit which caused some disruption to the view and occasional noise. The shared hot tub experience was nice, but the glass panels around it blocked most of the scenery, so you can’t really enjoy the lake view while soaking.

Housekeeping could be improved too. One day, I intentionally placed the bathrobe on the floor for replacement, but it was simply hung back without being changed, and I had to request for a new one afterward.

Room size was decent, though there may be better options around Queenstown with larger rooms, better views, and more facilities. Also take note that some room types do not come with a bathtub.

Overall still a good stay with a nice atmosphere and friendly service.
