Overpriced hotel with instagram view. Disappointing

Nice view from the restaurant across the lake towards the remarkables.

Cons:

Very overpriced hotel, we paid ca. USD 300/night, worth app. USD 150/night at maximum. Staff polite and trying their best, but inexperienced, no real professionals on site. Rooms open strait from the street, feels more like a motel than a hotel, door feels very cold and is not closing 100%. Shower not working correctly, carpet dirty and wet, room feels empty, not comfortable. Breakfast à la cart with one item allowed only, than quote menu „cannot be alternated“ at all. Other than that mediocre coffee and a bowl of unprepared fruit.
Have had much better and more professional hotels for half the price. We’re fairly disappointed.

Disappointing and felt mislead.
Pros:

Bed was comfortable. Fish and chips shop next door was amazing

Cons:

Over priced for a clunky room with limited utility for travellers. Poorly thought out layout. Food options limited and favour pushing you to set menu pricing. Staff were not available when phoning front desk or room service. Deck has no cover which is not very useful in an area prone to rain. Only one set of elevators to service all rooms, they advertise free parking but less than half the rooms can access that onsite, the rest are told to park on the street. Overall the site, room and service just don’t match up with the price they are charging when they are way out of the Queenstown district

Spectacular views and rooms are ultra spacious.
Pros:

Kamana hotel is everything and more! The dining scenes looking out into the lake were incredible to experience everyday.
Staff at the restaurant were super friendly.
I highly recommend everyone to stay here

Cons:

Finding car spots can be a challenge especially when there is a function on.

We had the most amazing time at Kamana & will be booking in at Kamana every time we are back in Queenstown. To Andrea at reception & all the staff at Kamana for their amazing service & genuine kindness. We met some amazing people here. The rooms & the entire place is immaculate. Thank you Kamana Lakehouse
