Breakfast was good
The wc and sink basically being in the bedroom - ridiculous. The lack of car parking. Dinner in the restaurant - really bad.
The location.
The style was contemporary and lacked ‘softness’.

First class customer service from this hotel. Posted belongings home to us that we had left in the bathroom. Friendly, efficient staff. Lovely pool area.
Not staying long enough!
Easy to park, safe car park.
The phone in the room didn’t work at all, couldn’t order room service, no access to a menu everything stopped working during our stay.
We Ended up paying £45 for two small pizzas and 2 diet cokes because I wasted so much time trying to locate the services!
Absolute joke!
Tried to charge me an extra £15 for bringing our dog to cover ‘cleaning costs’
Turns out there were stains all over the carpet on our arrival!
Bed was solid and so uncomfortable I couldn’t wait to get out of it!
Bath was fit for a 5 year old child, my poor husband who’s 6ft 3 could barely fit an arm in there!
Staff were very friendly and accommodating of our family. As a young family with 2 kids under 4 traveling isn’t easy and what does help a lot is when you get to a hotel with understanding and helpful staff. The hotel’s location is excellent and very easy to reach as you enter Edinburgh. We used the NCP Car Park which is about 7-9min walk - the stroll is enjoyable with some views of the castle.
The windows don’t open - we enjoy getting some fresh air in the room and couldn’t open the windows (I presume due to Scotland’s largely cold climate) but there was a fan provided in the room and the room temperature was optimal.
Clean, great location, decent breakfast
Rude staff, late cleaning (4:30pm)
Great friendly hotel
Good location for royal mile grassmarket and castle
Food very expensive in resturant
