Omni San Diego Hotel at the Ballpark

Lizzie was an incredible server she really made sure the entire team was taken care of and really was attentive in everyone’s needs.

The only positive part of this hotel was the pool staff — they were friendly and professional. Unfortunately, the front desk service was the worst part of our stay.

We booked three rooms and upgraded to a higher category, yet all of us were placed on the 5th floor. The hot water was only warm, not hot, and uncomfortable to shower. The front desk insisted the temperature was normal and said no one had complained before, which is clearly not true when you read other guest reviews.

Only when we said we would measure the water temperature did they suddenly agree to change our rooms. That response felt dishonest and reactive instead of honest and helpful.

The location also did not feel safe due to many homeless people in the area.

We came with a positive attitude and just wanted to enjoy our stay, but the front desk staff made us feel unwelcome and ignored. We will not return and do not recommend this hotel.

Relaxing, comfortable. Left absolutely glowing!! I have sensitive skin and he checked in often to make sure my skin was tolerating everything. Eye kind and professional.

Tal was amazing! I was here for a conference and threw my back out. I called the front desk and Tal called me within 10 minutes to get ne for an emergency session. He saved the day!

We stayed at the OMNI for our wedding weekend and hosted many of our family and friends there as well. We were so happy with our choice to stay here! The rooms were clean, a great size, and had great views of the water and/or ballpark. All of the staff we encountered were so lovely - we had our dog with us and they were especially kind and attentive to him as well. I'd like to specifically mention Gary who was so kind and helped us each day with our bags and with recommendations. Also, all of the wait staff at Fresco, where we dined every day because it was so good, were absolutely lovely.

So this was such a lovely surprise! Booked here for a conference but brought the family. It had been recently updated and wow we could not have been more impressed. The staff were lovely, the pool area and bar great, the rooms large (for usa) and clean and well designed. And it was so close to petco park and right in front of the convention centre. Business centre was 24/7 which was great as we had work in Australia. Truly for family or business or conference this is a great option with good price point

I got a 90min deep tissue massage and this was everything I’ve been looking for! I have a lot of knots in my shoulders and thicker muscles on my legs also with knots, so I have a high expectation that no one has been able to meet. Within 5 minutes I had to remark on the strength of Tal’s fingers and his knowledge of anatomy! His almost 2 decades of experience shows as he was able to massage even between my muscles without activating my reflexes or giving any discomfort! I was very talkative, I was so impressed. Learning how he runs his own business and his background in hospitality explained how he has provided me the best customer service in SD. I was at two other resorts this week, the first had a good but overpriced massage, while the second didn’t even have a receptionist during business hours. This one was worth everything! Tal doesn’t stay on site, but when I told concierge I wanted to book, Tal called me in a couple hours to book 2 massages the next day! I only have a couple days in Omni, so I was so grateful he was able to accommodate me and my boyfriend. He was so friendly over the phone when I was booking, and even friendlier in person. The treatment room that he designed and furnished was beautiful. The spa bed had rests for my arms! Haven’t seen that before and it’s a game changer. This was the best deep tissue massage, customer service, rapport, and pricing. I feel so much lighter and just wonderful! I told him to come to the OC too! I really lucked out with Tal. I hope to return and book with him again, I definitely recommend him! Thank you so much!

Survivor Series weekend! Our family stayed here from Friday - Sunday during WWE Survivor Series weekend. Staff was incredibly helpful, friendly, accommodating and would easily stay here again. The 4th floor skyway to the stadium was extremely smooth and convenient for our family

If you want the best Gaslamp, San Diego experience, stay at the Omni. Whether you are going to a Padre game and gifted with the incredible access the Omni provides or just hanging in downtown, this is the hotel. Close to everything and always the most hospitable staff. From the amazing Valet staff like Alex to the exceptional front desk staff to the amazing people at the coffee shop and the smiling people at the restaurant like Therese. This staff will make you feel like you are with family. A true home away from home.

Fantastic anniversary staycation weekend at the Omni! Beautiful room with a nice view and everyone was so nice! Location was great for us to walk Gaslamp area and Sea Port Village. The breakfast was one of the best we’ve had at a hotel with create your own omelettes that was really delicious! Cute coffee shop too!

A big thank you to Heidi Walton and the team at the Omni for helping us with our group reservation during NeurIPS. The hotel is beautiful, service top notch and location next to the convention center cannot be beat. Thank you for making our stay enjoyable and seamless. We look forward to working together again in the future!

I stayed at the Omni on the Ballpark for WWE Survivor Series, and my overall experience was awesome! I love that the hotel is literally connected to Petco Park by a pedestrian bridge, so I was able to walk right into the venue in minutes. Also, the view from my 19th floor balcony was superb! The food was good--especially at Fres Co, and there were plenty of different restaurants within a 10 minute walk. I'd definitely stay at Omni on the Ballpark again!

I enjoyed my visit at the 6th floor pool bar. My server, Shelby, was very nice and welcoming. The service at the 6th floor pool bar was exceptional. The drinks and food were wonderful. It was a very relaxing environment with comfortable seating. Its a great place to enjoy your time relaxing, watching a sports game or catching up on emails.

Shelby and the staff know guests are there to relax and enjoy the wonderful weather. I never felt rushed. Shelby made sure to check up on my table in order to allow me time to order at my leisure.

I highly recommend spending your time and money at the 6th floor. Even though you're in the gaslamp district its a relaxing environment.

The best customer service I have ever experienced! Pleasant and friendly staff made our stay extra special. Great food options in the hotel and within walking distance. The rooms are beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable. Close and convenient access to Petco Park and the Convention Center.

Second time staying, both of which were great stays. Will most definitely come back for another event or game. Both bar ans restaurants were exquisite.

Omni San Diego Hotel at the Ballpark is a perfect place to stay while at Gaslamp quarter/downtown. Especially during an event at the ballpark. During my last stay, WWE survivor series held an event at Petco Park and as you can imagine the area not to mention the hotel was crazy busy. Even during the craziness, the hotel maintained a clean environment, friendly staff and great service. Although some requests such as room service needed extra time, the staff was very professional and transparent to ensure our expectations were met at the time we can expect. This hotel and staff are first class, thank you!

This was a totally spur of the moment, last minute decision while vacationing with my fam at the Omni - and it turned out to be the best call I made all weekend. Huge shoutout to the amazing concierge Robert, who recommended Tal.

Tal was the ultimate pro: flexible with scheduling, easy to work with and genuinely committed to giving me a deep tissue massage that addressed exactly what I needed. Hands down the best I’ve ever had. I walked out feeling like a new human.

The only downside?!? Now I’m basically required to drive to San Diego just to get this massage again. And again. And again. Highly recommend!
