Such a great place for a day at the pool. We got a cabana for the group and it was a great place to hangout. Food and drinks are super tasty. Our server Audrea was so nice and came by to check on us often. Highly recommend

Ivan Andrea Eddy, Ivan Andrea and Jack were so helpful and made my friend Samantha’s birthday so much fun. It was a beautiful day in April supposed to be cloudy, but the sun came out and we had such a fun time. The staff was so attentive and incredible. Thank you Estancia. Amen.

I highly recommend Estancia La Jolla. The setting and gardens were beautiful, the staff friendly, the rooms clean and comfortable, and the breakfast tasty. The amenities and live music added to an overall great stay. Our family of four with connecting rooms genuinely enjoyed our stay and would revisit in the future.

We had a wonderful stay at the Estancia, from the moment we arrived to the moment we left! The staff were warm, friendly and helpful - from the valet team, to the front desk team, to our servers and beyond. The way the property is laid out you feel like you are in a private secret garden getaway. We enjoyed having several restaurants to experience. The fire pits around the property are a nice surprise and provide nice ambiance with so many nooks to relax and enjoy. Can’t wait to go back!

Phil was an amazing bartender that recommended the crisp martini which is a gin based drink with sauv blanc. Highly recommend Phil and the drink! My friend who didn’t like gin also liked the drink!

I recently stayed at Estancia La Jolla and had such a relaxing, memorable experience that I felt compelled to share.

I booked the hotel through the Amex Fine Hotels + Resorts program with a $300 credit, and the value was honestly incredible. Each day included a $60 breakfast credit, plus a $100 property credit that could be used toward dinner, drinks, or the spa. It made the entire stay feel both indulgent and surprisingly cost-effective.

The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful. It has a charming Spanish-style design, and the property is so expansive that you can almost get lost wandering through it—but in the best way. Every corner feels thoughtfully designed, with lush landscaping and cozy details that make it feel peaceful and intimate despite its size. The rooms are spacious, very clean, and well-prepared, and I especially loved that each room comes with its own private patio.

One thing that stood out to me was how pleasant everything smelled—fresh, clean, and calming. There are also many lovely spots around the property to sit and unwind, including a small “wishing tree” that adds a unique and whimsical touch.

The highlight for me was definitely the pool area. While cabanas are available for an extra fee, there are plenty of complimentary lounge chairs, and the pool itself is spotless. It’s surrounded by a bar and a hot tub, making it the perfect place to spend hours relaxing in the sun.

As an Amex Platinum member, I was able to check in early at 12 PM and check out late at 4 PM, which essentially gave me an extra full day to enjoy the pool and the property. That made a huge difference in the overall experience.

Lastly, the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming throughout my stay. Everyone I interacted with was warm, attentive, and genuinely kind.

What I appreciated most about this resort is the atmosphere—it feels effortlessly relaxed. There’s no pretentiousness, no pressure, just a calm and comfortable vibe that allows you to truly unwind.

I would absolutely come back again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway in La Jolla.

This place was 10/10. The drink menu is incredible - blacks beach is a MUST. The vibes were great and the staff is extremely welcoming and friendly. Shout out to Phil and Eddie for their great hospitality. Will be returning asap :)
