Our stay at Hotel Ter Brughe was simply exceptional.
The location is outstanding — right by one of Bruges’ most picturesque canals, yet pleasantly quiet and away from the busiest tourist areas. Waking up to this view felt like stepping into a painting.
The building itself has a unique historic charm that you rarely experience in modern hotels. The room was beautifully styled, combining authentic character with comfort. The details — from the elegant décor to the atmosphere — created a genuinely special experience.
What truly elevates this hotel, however, is the feeling it offers: calm, authenticity, and a sense of being part of Bruges rather than just visiting it.
The staff were welcoming, professional, and attentive without being intrusive — exactly the balance one hopes for.
If you are looking for a place that is not just accommodation, but an integral part of your Bruges experience, Hotel Ter Brughe is an excellent choice.

Wish room had a stand-up shower but the family room was still excellent.

Нету тапочек и халатов в номере, косметические принадлежности были для 1 гостя когда номер бронировался для двоих

Mi è stata assegnata una camera sotto tetto e durante la notte si sentivano parecchi rumori,probabilmente di uccelli, per cui, si faceva fatica a dormire tranquillamente.
We loved our room, it was big enough and very nicely decorated. The bed was confortable and everything was really clean.
The staff was really nice and helpful. The location was perfect, not to far from the city center but far enough that you didn't hear the crowds.
Breakfast was good and with a lot of options.
The hotel has this old vibes and its really beautiful.
The only minor downside was that the room wasn’t very well soundproofed, as we could occasionally hear noise from upstairs.

We liked this little hotel. It is lovely and historic, right on a canal. The breakfast was delicious and helped start our day off positively, with windows overlooking the canal. I think dinner there would have been a good choice, but we were in the town center for that. It is a nice touch that they have Belgian chocolates in the lobby.
Parking was a bit of a walk, understandable given the charming old town. Thankfully the parking rate was reasonable. I also can see how some would not appreciate the staircase into the uppermost floor where we stayed. It would be bad for anyone with vertigo or mobility challenges, as it is quite a steep climb. The lower staircase is more typical in grade/depth.
