River Terrace Inn

I recently stayed at the Four Seasons in New Orleans so am spoiled by that wonderful experience. My comments about the River Terrance Inn should be considered as feedback. I feel that the price of the room should include morning coffee and free parking.

We stayed at the River Terrace inn for the Bottlerock music festival May 21-26, 2026. The location is A+. We were able to walk to and from the festival each day which was a huge plus. It was about a 15 min, walk, right past Oxbow Market where we picked up breakfast at Model Bakery each day. We were also able to charge our vehicle on site for free after checking in although 1 of the 3 chargers wasn't working so we had to spend some time out there with a hotel staff member to help us troubleshoot one of the available chargers. Upon arrival, we had to unload our car and take a full trolley to our room ourselves. It was around 9pm and we had driven all day from Los Angeles, so we were tired. Help would've been appreciated. Note that we paid Premium prices to stay there (over $4500 for the 4 nights incl. taxes). We were put in a room with a "village" view - aka parking lot, and by the elevator. Each night walking back from Bottlerock (which shut down at 10pm), the hotel bar, restaurant and fire pits were already closed despite many guests walking back to the hotel at that time. We were told the hotel bar, kitchen & fire pits all close at 10pm as well. Even during Bottlerock! Meanwhile, the hotel next door was fully open so we went there for a night cap and snack. Aside from that, our room was serviced only 1 time during our stay. For what we paid, I was very disappointed in the overall service from a Marriott branded hotel, in the Premium category. This was not premium. Note: there is no pool and no hot tub. I imagine that if you have a river view room, you might enjoy your stay more. I can't comment on the restaurant on property as we never ate there. The noise from our room was somewhat average for a hotel. I could hear people in the hallway or auto noise from outside since we faced the parking lot, but the hotel is set back from the main cross street so traffic noise isn't bad. Bottom line, they lost my business. Despite loving the Bottlerock festival, I would never choose to stay at this hotel again.

We had a wonderful stay the the River Terrace Inn! Huge shoutout to V Sanchez at the front desk - always smiling and so gracious!! Our room was awesome- the cutest terrace and warm fireplace- modern touches throughout. We loved how close the property was to downtown- walkable to everything. Thank you again!

The restaurant was closed; not notified at checkin after asking for "time for restaunt that evening" - no food, microwave empanada was what bar server could offer. Next morning not water in rooms, checked with desk - no notification regarding water being out no "note with bottled water at your door". Smell of sewage in rooms and hall.
Notifed desk of our unhappiness wiht the situation and lack of communication about food and now water outage.
In conversation was proper staff they let us know "we only found out yesterday". They knew when we checked in that we would not have water in the morning and did not advise us at checkin. I have filled out a survey and complaint tothe property via the hotel holding company website. The River Terrace manager contacted s to apologize for the incidents and said they are refunding the cost of one of the rooms on the booking. They advised us to contact you (Booking.com) to comnfirm processing the refund for the one night, one of our two rooms.

Location, rooms

My family was welcomed with a "splash of wine," and we also received complimentary soft drinks. We also upgraded our rooms to a Junior King Suite with a balcony and view of the sunrise and Napa River. From our suite, we could see the mountains and hear the birds chirping and singing. We could walk to the Napa Valley Wine Train, Oxbow Market, and Downtown Napa. The Front Desk staff, especially Pedro, welcomed us and answered all of our questions. We also had a delicious Margherita pizza at the on-site restaurant.

Be careful ⚠️!!! It's been over a month since I stayed at this hotel, and I discovered they started charging my card! I'm still trying to figure it out! We booked a room for two nights but left early.
Terrible place, we didn't even want to stay the night we paid for.
We booked a room with a river view, but it was a scam. I didn't get the view I paid for! No drinking water, no tea. River Terrace doesn't care about its guests! They're ripping off their guests, so don't be naive and don't fall for their tricks.

I don't recommend this hotel. I booked a room with a river view and good amenities, but I got a completely filthy one with a view of trees. The staff was rude, the hotel was dirty, and I didn't enjoy my stay. I left as quickly as possible. For the price they charge per night, you can find another good hotel!
Wow! So much worse that reviews give credit. Immediately upon entering the property, staff is cold and off-putting. Checking in is average for a budget property at best. Opening the door to the room - pungent old and unclean smell immediately hits you. The hotel "free" WiFi is non-existent. Fitness center is big enough for two people to stand in, but tiny and missing anything of desire. I would encourage anyone to stay elsewhere. If you are of means, there are numerous nicer places within the same price point close. If you stayed her because of budget... save more money, there are nicer places in better price points. I wish that I could post a sample of the smell of my room for others to understand...... Literally the only positive I can state is the location and free on-site parking.

Very fun trip. Would recommend this property. Close to food, shoos and wineries. You can’t go wrong with this location.

River Terrace Inn exceeded all my expectations for my birthday weekend, offering a cozy room, excellent and tasty food, and welcoming staff. I rated this place 5 stars; if possible, I would have given 10. Many thanks, and we look forward to returning with friends.

The river view was disappointing from our first floor room.

Nice location, walkable to town and Wine Train station. Clean, but very dated rooms. I would stay there again for the convenience.

Location, excellent staff, beautiful room

First floor is where people with pets stay so rooms smelled horribly. We were able to change rooms to a higher floor, but only after I already explained to them we are allergic to animals. I returned after entering the room and getting a whiff of the pungent odor. They should have adjusted our room right away when I mentioned the allergy, but I had to wait in line again to get staff help, who are unfriendly and appear exhausted. There was trash left in the lobby. Guests had dogs they left unleashed at the front which scared my child. I would expect them to enforce a strict policy regarding leashing. I've had better stays at cheap motels than this "4-star" hotel
