Room was small but for 2 people it was livable

It was a tiny room.
It had thin walls.
Great location, just a 5 minute walk from Paddington Station. The staff were very helpful, and even gave me early check-in (at 10 am) when I went off to drop my luggage. Rooms are tiny, but very neat and comfortable. One thing to be aware is that the basement rooms don't have windows.

Compact room was more spacious than I had anticipated , nicely decorated, modern bathroom. Nice staff, great breakfast, helpful staff, fantastic location. Nice & quiet considering location.

Location near paddington station was great. The room was comfortable for one person.
The bathroom was a little tight. Small shower and not a lot of room around the sink. There was also a step down into the room from the entry and bathroom.

nothing. The only redemming feature was the location.
The room had an annoying green light above the door which was permanently ON. After travelling for 30 hours and very tired this was unacceptable. I will NEVER stay at this hotel again.

we stayed two nights for hyde park concert - we were in compact basement room - it was fabulous - great air con - on a very hot weekend -decent size - it is called compact so don t see why so many negative reviews on these rooms - it was great for our stay - air con was great - tea coffee ect shampoo body wash etc- little mini fridge and micro wave in room.

in a really nice area - close to walk to park and restaurants near by - we headed to portobello rd market and notting hill area too which was lovely

Brilliant location and lobby is very welcoming. Rooms have everything you need and staff are mostly very friendly.
Bed in compact room is NOT a double (as advertised) and not at all big enough for 2 adults to sleep in. Should be limited to single occupancy and bed advertised as a large single.
We booked a compact room as only staying for 1 night. Bed advertised is a standard double but bed in that room is a large single at best. We are not large humans and there is no way we could have slept in that bed the two of us. Two pillows did not fit side by side. When I queried why they advertised a double bed, I was told that this is “their version” of a double bed and that if I wanted more space I should’ve booked a bigger room. Size of the room was not an issue - we expected this to be small. But we expected to have a double bed, as advertised, so that the people who were booked to stay in the room could both sleep there. They ended up moving us after telling us they were fully booked and had no other rooms. Shame really because I wouldn’t have been able to fault the stay otherwise. Staff could’ve handled this better and the bed size needs to be advertised correctly for compact rooms.
