It was close to everything
What a sweet little gem of a place. You can tell it must be coveted during peak season. Our room was clean, cozy and convenient. I would love to stay there during the summer months. The location to the cliff walk and beach are ideal even though the weather during our stay did not lend itself to outdoor activities, but we still enjoyed it. The breakfast is continental and basic but gets the job done.
When I returned home I thought I had left a toiletries bag behind and I called to see if it been found, they asked housekeeping to look and they did I’m sure. What I did find out after I called is that someone in my family moved my bag from one piece of luggage to another without my knowing 🤦🏼♀️. The extra effort and care they went through to look for my bag showed the personal touch they provide.
I can’t wait to go back.
Oh and there is some discussion about the tvs in the room. To us they were fine. Had everything we were looking for.

While staying at the hotel unfortunately the guests next door to us were acting less than civil and we could hear everything. My husband went down to the desk and spoke to Carol who listened to our situation and went into action to make our stay enjoyable. She sprinkled her “pixie dust” and found us a room that was far away from the problem and allowed us to enjoy our stay in peace and quiet. And next time you hear bells ringing it’s not angels getting wings it’s Carol sprinkling her pixie dust.
Our favorite place to stay while visiting Newport. We have been coming to this location for the past 9 years. We especially love the proximity of the hotel to the cliff walk and Sachuest point.
The views, rooms, and amenities are all top notch. Hot tub on the roof is just an added bonus to an already fabulous hotel.
If there is a problem, they are quick to fix / resolve the issue with care and tact. 5 stars to management and supporting hotel staff!

We stayed in the Historic building…Priceline said our room had a FULL KITCHEN it did not! The hotel was renovated 2 years ago and they did a great job. Its modern, clean, comfortable bed and the staff is exceptional! Kristen and Lisa were amazing. Where they lacked. The tv was huge however you cannot connect to Amazon or Netflix even with an external device. Even though it is a smart tv the hotel has external apps disabled so no way to stream anything but you tube. In this day and age this is unacceptable! The shower is new but nowhere at all to place your own toiletries! This is a great hotel location so if the wifi and streaming is not an issue you will live it!
The free breakfast was great! The bed was comfy.
The noise that could be heard through thin walls, such as kids yelling or jumping on the floor.

Such a great spot. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend. It’s convenient to everything while feeling private. My family loved the pool.

I would recommend this hotel, especially on the off-season.
The staff is warm, friendly and accommodating, especially at the front desk. They also seem to have all the answers to all the questions.
My room was lovely and quiet. Parking is included. The beach is right there.
There is a resort fee, which is not the hotel’s fault and is a standard in Newport.
My bottom line is I would love to go back.
