Our stay at the President Hotel in Cape Town was genuinely the best hotel experience my sister and I have ever had.
From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how beautiful, luxurious, and welcoming the hotel was. We felt incredibly lucky to stay there. Our room and en suite were huge, spotless, and extremely comfortable. The pillow menu was such a lovely touch, and we thoroughly enjoyed the room service throughout our stay.
The breakfast buffet was absolutely incredible — every single element was fresh, delicious, and the perfect way to start the day. The hot chocolates became a particular favourite of ours! Even on rainy or gloomy days, we didn’t mind because we knew we had such a wonderful hotel to come back to and enjoy.
What truly made this hotel exceptional, though, was the staff. Every single member of the team was warm, friendly, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. The level of service honestly put hotels in England to shame. The porters in particular made such an impression on us — always greeting us with huge smiles, chatting and laughing with us, asking about our day, making sure we had everything we needed, and safely seeing us into our Ubers whenever we headed out. We always felt incredibly safe and looked after. A special shoutout to Steven the porter, who was especially lovely and great fun throughout our stay!
During our holiday, we unfortunately experienced a medical emergency when some wood chipping flew into my sister’s eye. The hotel staff were absolutely outstanding in the way they handled the situation. The Guest Experiences Manager immediately arranged for the on-call specialist doctor, who arrived within twenty minutes and was extremely helpful. My sister later had to go to hospital for further tests, which I found very distressing, but the hotel staff were so comforting and supportive throughout. When my sister returned, the hotel even sent complimentary hot chocolate, a chocolate bar, and shortbread up to our room with a thoughtful note for her. That level of kindness and care meant so much to us.
The service at the President Hotel was truly exceptional from start to finish, and we honestly could not fault a single thing about our stay. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Cape Town, and we already hope to return one day ourselves!

I completely fell in love with the President Hotel. I honestly wish I could've stayed longer. The room, gorgeous and comfortable. The service- could not have been better. The restaurant and bar- incredible. I know I will stay at the President again.
We had a lovely 3 day stay here and enjoyed the sights of Capetown. Special mention to Thandi for arranging some of our activities and in general to all the wonderful and friendly staff at the hotel

This was our second visit to The President Hotel in the last 2 years. We love this hotel. It’s clean, the staff are super friendly and very close to the beach. The breakfast was great with a lot of choice. The beers are large and cheap. Would definitely return for a 3rd trip
Great location in a very safe part of town. It’s a 1 minute walk down to the water where you can watch the sunset with a nice promenade to walk along. The staff were also amazing and they went above and beyond. They were so lovely and made our stay so special. Jay Jay at breakfast and in the bar was specifically fantastic! The pool area is also great (pool was quite cold though!) Also nice, big comfy beds.
The shower/bathroom was a little bit cramped so water would go onto the floor after every shower which was a bit annoying but just needed a bigger shower panel.
