Stunning location, friendly staff, incredible view and very useful for going into the park when we wanted. Policy (can’t remember the correct spelling) went above and beyond, Rhandzu was super helpful, DeVilliers made the best espresso martinis, Loveness superb breakfasts Mishak was always on the ball and everyone just had the best vibe. A Magical Safari Stay with Room for Improvement
Pros:

Kruger Gate Hotel offers a truly magical experience. From the moment you arrive, you feel immersed in the atmosphere of the African savanna. The hotel has a unique, almost mystical ambiance that perfectly complements a safari trip.

The value for money is very good, the staff is friendly and attentive, and the food quality exceeded our expectations. The dinner area is especially spectacular, with open fire pits, live music, and an unforgettable atmosphere that became one of the highlights of our stay.

Cons:

The most serious issue was with our airport transfer to Johannesburg. The hotel failed to schedule our taxi correctly, and we came very close to missing our flight. Fortunately, the staff managed to resolve the situation, but at 5:00 a.m. there were virtually no alternative transportation options, making it a very stressful experience.

Another point is the service around the main pool overlooking the river. The staff is extremely attentive, but they ask if you would like to order something every few minutes. While the intention is good, it became intrusive. I would recommend allowing guests to request service when they need it rather than approaching them so frequently. During our last few days, we actually avoided this area because of it.

Finally, the cloth napkins in the restaurant felt a little worn and not as fresh as expected. Replacing them with new white napkins or using high-quality disposable ones would improve the overall dining experience.
