A Great Location - Book Direct w/Hotel
Pros:

The location of this hotel is superb! A beautiful black sand beach, a large clean pool, and friendly staff. The reason for our lower score on facilities was we had booked a pool view room with a balcony via a travel online site. Upon arriving, we were given a room at the back of the hotel on the ground floor facing the dirt road with only a small 5x1.5' window. The hotel was fully booked, including a large tour group. This, and our late arrival was given as the reason we received the lower quality room. We were told to email our reservation rather than booking via an online site (travelosity/Expedia/Booking.com/etc). However, the bed was extremely comfortable, the AC worked great, the water pressure excellent, and the staff professional and kind. Again, an exceptional location and we would use the hotel again, but would recommend to all to reserve via email directly, and to specifically request to not be in room 115.

Cons:

Room location was not as booked via online travel site.
We recommend booking directly with the hotel and verify room site before payment.

Great hotel at Playa Hermosa with a beautiful view. The pool was perfect for the kids, and the staff was very friendly — actually the most kid-friendly staff we encountered on our entire trip.

We especially loved having breakfast right by the beach. We were even able to move to a room with an ocean view, which made our stay even more special.

We really enjoyed our time here and would have loved to stay longer.

Pros:

Die Lage, direkt am Meer.
Im Prinzip hatten wir das beste Zimmer in der oberen Etage mit direktem Blick zum Meer.
Frühstück war gut.
Man kann, wenn man Glück hat Aras beobachten, sie kamen jeden Tag.
Poolanlage sehr schön.

Cons:

Nicht gefallen am Frühstück hat uns, dass es nur eine Scheibe Toast gab. Falls man noch eine wollte war diese kostenpflichtig. Das fanden wir schon unschön. Kaffee konnte man trinken allerdings trinken, so viel man wollte .
Die Zimmer könnten eine Renovierung gebrauchen, besonders das Bad war klein und nicht mehr modern.
Es gibt kein Kühlschrank im Zimmer.
Restaurants gibt es nicht wirklich in fußläufig er Nähe . Nur eine Pizzaria und ein BBQ.

Todos pagamos en la misma moneda merecemos el mismo trato.
Pros:

La cercanía con San José, hace que se aproveche mejor el tiempo de descanso.

Cons:

La tv falla constantemente. La señal de wifi pésimo.
Observé ciertos "privilegios" hacia el visitante extranjero. A ellos los cócteles del happy hours se los llevan servido en copa de cristal, y fuera del restaurante . Al cliente nacional nos lo sirvieron en un vaso de cartón, el mismo que usan para el granizado.
Esto fué pésimo. !!
Algo positivo: el personal en general es muy amable, la comida sabrosa, muy limpio el lugar, piscina siempre se ve limpia, y a la habitación muy buena limpieza de roperia.
Excelente atención de los chicos en recepción.

Pros:

Excellent location, right on the beach.

Cons:

The room size is not correct because it includes the terrace/balcony. Our 38m2 is in fact probably something like 24m2 and was the same size as all the other rooms.

Bon séjour, au calme et sans mauvaise surprise
Pros:

Fuego del Sol Beachfront Hotel est un établissement simple mais idéalement situé, parfait pour profiter pleinement de la plage et des magnifiques couchers de soleil. Le restaurant propose une carte variée ainsi que de très bons cocktails. La piscine est agréable, et la taille réduite de l’hôtel en fait un lieu calme et à dimension humaine.

Cons:

L’hôtel montre quelques signes d’âge et le mobilier mériterait d’être remplacé, mais le service reste correct et attentionné.
