The whole place was clean and bright. The room was very comfortable. Bathroom was lovely with a good shower. Staff were friendly and happy to help
The cooked breakfast was not very good. The scrambled eggs were overcooked (possibly powdered) the sausages were undercooked and the hash browns weren’t very fresh. Breakfast runs from 6:30-10:30. We got to the restaurant for around 8am. The croissants however were very nice!
The room and the entire facilities.
None!
good value for money
When booking the rooms, I included details about our stay and that we need an invoice issued with our company’s details - at the reception we had to argue with the staff for half an hour, claiming that the hotel can’t do that, and we need to contact booking.com.
Booking app specifically indicates that for all invoices - talk to the hotel.
ruined the whole experience with some pretty basic stuff. First time in my 26 years I’ve heard that the hotel can’t make the invoice with the company’s details.
If you’re travelling for work - avoid it
Location is convenient
1) Unwelcoming, rude, unprofessional reception staff . Reception staff member Albert refused to believe we had a confirmed booking even after showing him the booking.com app. He was unsympathetic and unapologetic and I was forced to try a find, late on Saturday evening, alternative accommodation for my elderly 79 yr old Dad and 15 yr old child nephew , both from abroad. Hugely stressful . With few options I booked a nonrefundable room elsewhere for £400. Then my Dad talked to another staff member (also unsympathetic in tone) who discovered that actually we did have a confirmed booking at the Holiday Inn.
2) I had booked a twin room for my Dad and nephew . Holiday Inn failed to reserve this and only had a double left. Again, no sympathy or apology from staff .
3) none of the power sockets worked in the room , meaning my Dad and nephew had no way of recharging their phones , vital for keeping in touch with me. I had to make an emergency Uber ride to the hotel late at night to give them power banks. We talked to the receptions staff that night and the next day about this and they promised to have it fixed quickly but it never happened
4) Breakfast buffet was bad. I joined my relatives one time and paid £25 - a ripoff price for the quality of the breakfast
Great location
Nothing
Friendly staff and room ok
Terrible breakfast with almost nothing and the facilities in general look a bit cheap. Honestly for the price we pay, the quality is not there. There is a smell in the corridors too.
Extra sofa bed
Parts of the room need updating. The shower room needs new sealant as it has black mold patches. The carpet is looking very tired as is the table
Good location with great travel network.
Good location for what we were in London for and the A/C was a bonus in the heatwave!
Check in was a little slow
