I had a wonderful stay and would happily return.
Pros:

I really enjoyed my stay! The hotel was clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was great—within walking distance to everything I needed. The parking was also excellent, with no height limit, which made it easy for my big SUV.

Cons:

One small thing I noticed was that the water temperature in the shower was a bit tricky to adjust—it tended to run either very hot or quite cool, so finding the perfect temperature was a little difficult. Overall it wasn’t a big issue, just the only "negative" I could think of.

Best secrete in town for relaxing stay, and excellent service.
Pros:

The location is great, walking distance to downtown. Service is outstanding with friendly staff who are genuinely concerned about your comfort. Their Rat, dinning and outside firepit are inviting and relaxing. Been going to Monterey are for over 25 years and did our last three stays and Hotel Abrego.

Relaxing
Pros:

Spacious and comfortable parking lot was big and in the middle of many shops and restaurants and gas stations which helped a lot on the way out. Staff was very polite and accommodated us the best way possible location was clean and the room was nice and quiet, including the beds that were very comfortable to sleep on would definitely visit again

Loved this hotel
Pros:

We went to the Hotel Abrego in Monterey for my birthday in February. The location is very convenient for walking to most everything downtown, the bike/walking trail near the harbor, even cannery row. There are a lot of restaurants near the hotel that you can walk to. Also, the hotel is about a mile from the entrance to the Monterey side of the 17 mile drive.
The rooms are very nice. Upgraded amenities, the fireplace in our room made it feel very cozy. Overall, I would recommend the hotel.
