Pros:

Die Lage direkt in der Hohe Straße ist eigentlich fast das Einzige, womit diese Unterkunft punkten kann.
Ganz gut war auch das Bett an sich und es war sauber.

Cons:

Das Hotels zu Messezeiten bei den Preisen ordentlich zuschlagen, ist bekannt.
Aber für dieses Hotel und das Zimmer 250,00 !! pro Nacht aufzurufen, ist schon sehr unverschämt!

Ich hatte ein echtes Einzelzimmer, das ca. 10qm groß war. Das Bad hat eine Dusche mit Eckeinstieg, in die aber nur relativ schlanke Menschen ein-u. aussteigen können; die Öffnung war sicher nicht breiter als 30-35 cm! Auch die Benutzung der Toilette ist nur was für schlanke Menschen.
Das Zimmer in der 1. Etage ging nach hinten raus, direkt davor eine sogenannte Gemeinschaftsterrasse, eher eine begehbare Überdachung. Auch sehr ungepflegt; auf dem kleinen Tisch stand ein Aschenbecher voll mit Kippen und Wasser vom Regen und offenbar seit Tagen nicht ausgeleert. Auf dem Boden lagen auch diverse Zigarettenkippen sowie der Korken u. die Drahtumhüllung einer Sektflasche. Ich habe 2 Nächte dort verbracht u. alles war auch bei der Abreise noch so.
Die Aussicht war entsprechend in einen Hinterhof.
Zu dem Zimmer musste man durch den Frühstücksraum. Wenn man selbst nicht unbedingt um 7 Uhr aufstehen müsste, wird man jedoch durch die Geräusche des Frühstücksraums davon abgehalten.
Fazit: man kann dort übernachten, aber der Preis steht in gar keinem Verhältnis zum Ambiente u. Ausstattung - auch nicht zu Messezeiten!

Pros:

Die super zentrale Lage hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Zimmer nach hinten raus ruhiger (als nach vorne zur Haupteinkaufsstraße). Empfang ist 24/7 besetzt, sehr freundliches Personal. Klimaanlage, Heizung, TV, Minibar, Fön, Aufzug - alles vorhanden

Cons:

Älteres Haus, recht hellhörig. Für ältere Gebäude üblich, knackt mal der Fußboden oder Türen quietschen / knarren. Badezimmer relativ klein, aber funktional.

10/10 made my solo trip to cologne even better than I imagined

Pros:

The hotel is really close to the Dom, and the moment you leave it, you can see the cathedral. The room was large enough for us. One of the receptionists was really helpful. Most of the time, you could find somebody at the reception. The room and the bathroom were clean.

Cons:

The breakfast choice was very limited. The only hot breakfast meal was boiled eggs. But the other breakfast items were adequate.

It was an excellent, satisfying stay!
Pros:

Location is excellent, 3minutes walk to the train station, 2 minutes to Cologne cathedral and the shops is right after walking out of the hotel. Breakfast was good, it was filling with bread, cheese, egg, yogurt, milk, fruits etc. Kudos to the staff for heating my mother's soup we bought from a restaurant.
Will surely come back.
