We stayed at the Garden Inn in Westbury for 10 days on a couples getaway.
The staff at the front desk (Carlos in particular was wonderful) were excellent and very efficient. Check in was a breeze and we were told about dining options for breakfast which we received a 20 dollar credit each day to spend on dining.
We had several minor issues with the room which were for the most part resolved quickly and efficiently. The room itself was dated and is in need of major updating.
The smell of pot was present in the hallways on several days.
We went to the restaurant for breakfast several mornings and we had the hot breakfast. The food was cooked to order and was good. The service was also very good.
The pool and spa were very disappointing. The area itself was dirty and chicken bones were lying on the tile floor. Lots of standing water on the pool deck which is a slip hazard. The spa jets were not working and the temperature was very hot. I did not spend much time in the pool or spa because of the cleanliness issues.
Overall the hotel needs a serious renovation but the staff are outstanding.

Love the renovation - you can tell first in the hallways, but our room was very nice, too. Plenty of electrical and USB outlets. Comfortable beds, nice bathroom, etc.

They had a pool and a Jacuzzi as well as fitness room and a computer lounge for the guest. Staff was really friendly very nice very attentive very warming.

I chose this Hilton property mainly because I have been to a few on Long Island and most are in need of renovations. When I looked online, it stated that the rooms were renovated, do I booked without any hesitation.
I arrived at the hotel late in the evening and was assigned a renovated room on the 1st floor. Not my normal choice, but I was fine since it was the only renovated room left. The front desk person was pleasant and recognized my Diamond status and gave me two waters. As I walked toward the room, I noticed the carpet was new, and there were many trailers outside as they were still doing renovations.
As I entered the room, I saw new carpet and some new furniture, but the desk and cabinets were all very worn with chunks missing from the fake wood. I then checked the bathroom and saw that it was not renovated. It seemed to have the same sink and toilet. The worst part was the there was still a tub with peeling paint and rusting hardware. I went back to the front desk to ask about the bathroom and was told they had not remodeled these parts of the room. It seems they did the carpet, bed and some furniture.
While I was not happy about this, it was late and I didn't have much of a choice, so I stayed in the room for the 5 days of work. The bed was comfortable enough, but I really wished they had renovated the bathroom. Unfortunately, I won't stay here again until they do.

The bathroom did not have good lighting and did not have and the exhaust fan . The shower curtain smelled pretty bad as well .
