Top Lage
Pros:

Die Lage ist nicht zu übertreffen. Wirklich einen Aufenthalt wert, wenn man in New York ist und sich die Stadt anschauen möchte. Das Zimmer ist bequem mit dem Aufzug zu erreichen und hat alles was man für einen kurzen Aufenthalt benötigt.

Staff helpful. Clean large room with safe
Pros:

Shower was good and bathroom area fine. Tv in lobby with chairs. Excellent location for Times sq and subway stations.

Cons:

The bed in 409 creaked every time you moved like a volley of pistol shots. The air conditioning unit was an antique and noisy.

Комнаты очень не удобные и шумные. Слышно все вокруг и соседи, то что в коридоре происходит. Контингент очень плохой. Интерьер убитый, кровать не удобный.

RUN! DON’T DO IT!! Pictures are Deceitful!!
Pros:

The hotel looked nothing like the pictures online. The room was very small with old furniture, and the window faced a brick wall. We found a roach in the bathroom, and the shower made loud rumbling noises. I didn’t feel safe sleeping in the bed because of the roach. We left after the first night. We only stayed because it was late and I had a conference the next morning.

Perfect Location
Pros:

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel St James. Was it luxuriously fancy and new? No. But it was clean and charming and the staff (particularly Emma!) were super friendly and helpful (we had never navigated NY). The location is PERFECT! Right on Times Square and we walked to most of the highlights of the city including our broadway show. The subway took us everywhere else and that was convenient too. Take advantage of the ice and water station in the “bar” and the neighboring pub and deli were fantastic. This hotel was exactly what we needed for our visit and within our budget. Highly recommend.
