Great location for a weekend away when you aren't planning to spend a lot of time in your room.
Pros:

The location is excellent. Very close to Times Square but not right on the main street so noise is minimal. Front desk staff was professional and helpful. Despite not being a 'big name' hotel it felt safe and comfortable.

Cons:

It's an older building that could use some freshening up. My room was clean and the bed was comfy but everything was very 'economy'. Scratchy towels, cheap amenities, slightly broken bedside lamp etc.

タイムズスクエア周辺の散策に適したホテル
Pros:

・ロケーションが良く、タイムズスクエア、ブライアントパークといった観光名所の散策に適している。夜遅くにシアターディストリクトにあるjazz clubに行ったが、ホテルまで歩いてすぐに帰宅することができた。
・チェックインの1時間弱くらい前に到着したが、部屋の準備が出来ていたため早めにチェックインをさせてくれた。
・この価格帯にしては部屋が広く感じた。一人旅に適していると思う。

Sehr nettes kleines Hotel. Jederzeit wieder!
Pros:

Nettes kleines Hotel. Zimmer geräumig . Nicht ganz modern aber ausreichend für einen Kurztrip. Die Lage ist Top!

Convenient, clean and value for money in New York
Pros:

Hotel St James is close to Times Square and was convenient for our stay over new years eve. It's an older hotel though the room was clean with a hot shower and served our needs.

Cons:

The bed required a new mattress. The springs were making noises and was not the most comfortable to sleep on. A little bar fridge and coffee making facilities would also be nice for guests in the future.

Great Budget Option
Pros:

We used this hotel for a mother/daughter trip and it worked well for our purposes. The location is perfect. Our view was odd: our windows looked out on another building's windows, which were very close to ours. It seemed to be a co-working space. We kept our curtains closed the entire time because the people in those windows could clearly see right into our room. If you can deal with that, I highly recommend this hotel.

I think there really is no value for money in New York
Pros:

Great location and friendly staff bed hard

Cons:

Noisy air conditioning, blinds that did not work, no fridge , single lock on door, looked out my small window at a brick wall, add ons such as tax per night not advertised

Pros:

Location, location, location! The staff was also super friendly and allowed us to leave our luggage there after checkout. The room was simple, but enough for a comfortable stay and always clean.

Good location. Dated facilities. Squeaky bed. Musty smell. Thin walls.

The bed was very squeaky. Could not move without the springs making a loud noise. Staff were not very welcoming. Very dated facilities and had a musty smell throughout. Walls were also very thin and could hear people in the room next door.
