room was not very clean. Rust on bathroom floor which will clean up. Floors and carpets dirty .Bubble on ceiling where water had leaked from upstairs unit. NO AC , they had to bring us a few stand up fans. Three outdoor umbrellas in-unit all were broken

Getting towels and toilet paper was difficult, no air conditioning, no staff anywhere

To start, I’d recommend absolutely going for Ocean View. Quiet, peaceful. The beach is beautiful, the lawns and greenery are very well kept, the property is very, very nice. The condo was perfectly fine, a comfortable bed, fans kept me cool, kitchen nicely organized. Several BBQs available for grilling. Lack of a pool is a minus. But the trick that left a sour taste in my mouth, despite being in the beauty of Kaua’i, was this property’s unacceptable charge of a bogus “cleaning” fee: It’s a very large sum for basically nothing. This is sneaky, greedy and totally unnecessary. They hit you with it at check in, with no warning.Non-negotiable. It’s wrong, and not keeping with the Aloha spirit of Southshore Po’ipū. Buyer beware!

Tv in bedroom not working. Reported to maintenance not fixed. No communication regarding issue.

Quiet and clean very well kept up. Close to shopping and good dining without feeling like I was downtown in a major city.

The place is nice and well located. It was all great except for the surprise $377 cleaning fee that I was charged upon checkin. I booked on Agoda. Really can't find where I should have expected that fee anywhere. Otherwise a nice, clean place with friendly staff in a pretty spot.

The property is old and outdated, and the bed and pull-out couch bed are very uncomfortable.

We booked through Agoda and paid $838 for three nights, including “taxes and fees.” After we checked out, we were shocked to find an additional $377 charged to our credit card for a so-called “cleaning fee” — nearly 45% of the total cost.

At no point during check-in, during our stay, or at check-out were we informed of this charge, nor did we receive a receipt or any written notice about it. In fact, the only thing made clear at check-in was that no cleaning services would be provided during our stay.

When we called the hotel after our trip ended and we saw the credit card charges, we were told the fee is buried under “Additional Property Policies” on Agoda — which feels intentionally vague. This is a huge hidden fee and completely deceptive. We will not stay here again and urge others to be extremely cautious.

Beautiful location! Loved having coffee every morning on the lanai.

The property is old and this weared off a bit, but well maintained, the location and residence area is amazing. Poipu beach with turtles and seals laying on the beach are just steps away. Easy drive from any point of the island.

Excellent location, but limited in unit conveniences. Not all units have AC or in unit washer/dryer. Staff is friendly but not really involved beyond check in/out. It's a family place so lots of active folks on the lovely grounds until bedtime.

Well maintained exteriors/grounds so be prepared for hard working staff during your stay.

The property is nice and has lots of convenient things there we had a few maintenance issues that they did to handle as soon as possible. At least the ones that they could.

We loved Kiahuna Plantation resort with the low level condo accommodations and absolutely blown away with all the Hawaiian plants and flowers. So many varieties of Plumeria trees, Hibiscus, orchids and many others! The great location right off one of the most beautiful beaches, Poipu Beach, in Kauai was a huge bonus!!!

No air conditioning, poor kitchen equipment, dull knives etc.. excessive lawn mowing early directly in front of our porch.

The front desk was very friendly and accommodating. We were able to request an air conditioned unit due to a medical issue and they found us one right away. Was a great central location, clean, quiet. Our only complaint was that the bed and sofa bed were not comfortable. But everything else was fantastic and all the staff were amazing.

BUYER BEWARE! We stayed here for 2 nights in March 2025 and paid ahead of time through a third-party. We prepaid for all room costs plus "taxes and fees". Upon check-in, the office staff requested an ADDITONAL $351.00 for a "Cleaning and Checkout fee". I spoke to staff in person and have emailed them multiple times to challenge the extra charge and they have chosen to flat out ignore me and not respond. In speaking to my third-party vendor where i purchased the rooms they basically apologized and said the hotel did not disclose this charge up front and therefore only the hotel could refund the money. However, they have done no such thing and continue to ignore my requests to discuss this. That is no way to do business and I warn anyone looking to stay here about the additional fees as this company is not honest and upfront. Not to mention, the rooms are large but dated for the associated costs of staying here and there is no pool on site.

The grounds were beautiful and the staff very friendly. However, our condo was in need of a total renovation. Cracked tiles, old bathtub and very dark inside. Also, please note there is no swimming pool onsite. You have access to a pool about a block away.
