Ive been coming to this hotel for the last 5 year twice a year this trip could possibly be my last, 1, the small mini fridges have been removed from all the rooms my medication has to be kept in the fridge SO NO GOOD FOR ME . 2 NO ENGLISH CHANNELS ON THE TV IN THE ROOMS, 3 THE BAR CHANGES ITS PRICES EVERYTIME YOU GO AND GET A DRINK A SHANDY WAS 5 EUROS THEN 6 EUROS THEN 6.50 EUROS THEN 7 EUROS THEN 9.50 EUROS WHEN YOU QUESTION THEM THEY SAY THEY DONT UNDERSTAND
Staff were not pleasant or accommodating. There was a charge for absolutely everything. Gym was dirty and poorly maintained. Food was low quality. No place to go outside the hotel. It was a hundred dollar taxi ride from airport. We do not recommend this hotel.
Basic hotel.
Staff friendly.
Nothing in walking distance.
Pay for coffee, no kettle of facilities to make tea if English!
Garage up road has food if you don’t want to eat at hotel or travel.
£20 taxi to Mijas is worth every penny
This is the most boring, basic, rubbish hotel in Spain.
The food is utterly shocking (rice and tinned sausages for breakfast-Really??) chicken nuggets and chips that I wouldn't feed to a dog.
The bar lady was clearly annoyed we were there and made it obvious
You have to pay 3 euro a day to use the safe
There is no wifi
The bathroom was dirty
The carpets are filthy
The place is gross. It could be wonderful but is in need of a huge refurb and some chefs who know how to cook
The only saving grace was the fact that the front desk staff were lovely. Seriously, there are lovely places to go in Malaga , avoid this one.
Very very hit.
I stayed in the hotel as it worked out cheaper rather than a Uber home
I arrived and was hungry the waiter who was an older man was so rude I ordered a basic salad sandwich it took almost 30 mins to prepare I went up three times and when it arrived it was awful and poorly presented I went back to my room and started to vomit 🤮 and felt dizzy I am sure something was put in my sandwich as I had this before in Mexico if you complain you get sick not sure if they put something in to make you sick but I had to go to the doctors and he gave me some tablets I am still not the best and haven’t ate all day since
I hadn’t eaten all day so I know something is not right
Sort out your old waiter to smile more
Lovely room but towels were tiny and thin so we had to use the towels provided for swimming when we showered. The staff at reception were very friendly and helpful.
The breakfast was awful,we went to breakfast the first morning and were told the buffet and fruit were for the footballers that were staying, there was scrambled egg and they said they could get us sausage and bacon but then brought bacon and mushrooms swimming in oil and it was all stone cold as was the scrambled egg, ended up having a bread roll and butter for breakfast. The other days we decided to forgo the hotel breakfast as we obviously weren’t welcome and we went to the local garage and had a lovely breakfast at a very reasonable price. Other guests in our party also used the restaurant opposite the garage and had a lovely lunch there.
Would not stay here again
Superb! We had lunch here one day whilst visiting nearby. All the staff were so friendly from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. The food was extremely tasty and plentiful and the setting and scenery are spectacular. We loved it so much we’re looking to stay here in the future.
The hotel is very clean and the grounds and views are really beautiful
The staff are very loyal to the owners but do need to be more honest with their guests
We arrived for a 5 night stay as a party of 21 guests all of whom were guests at a wedding being held locally The pool was filthy and not usable but we had not been notified that this was the case a number of reasons were given for this depending on who you spoke to,none of which I believe to be honest and when challenged I was told just because we advertise we have a pool doesn’t mean you can use it!
The carpets in the communal areas whilst clean are threadbare and the furniture in our suite was tired and surfaces were stained
The shower in the suite didn’t work on our first day apparently due to water pressure which I was informed affected other rooms but none of those in my party it took most of a day to resolve and I had to keep chasing it up nobody kept me informed
WiFi is not available in any of the 38 rooms and can only be accessed if you are sitting in reception nor is there complimentary tea and coffee in the rooms both of which I find strange for a hotel graded 4 stars
The staff are inexpressibly rude. The food is just as rotten. The rooms are unclean and tired, much like the service. The breakfast is almost funny it's that bad, I was constantly looking for staff to top up the food, drink, and plates. Avoid!
This is not a 4 star hotel.
It's 3 at the absolute best.
Desperate need of modernisation.
Rooms are tired.
Walls are paper thin, can hear loos flushing in the rooms next door along with people talking and showers being run.
No complementary coffee, have to buy coffee pods for the machine in the room from reception. And obviously no milk provided.
No sun loungers available as assume early May is classed as out of season. So nowhere to sit and relax.
We were up and out every day so didn't spend any time at the hotel.
So for a place to just sleep it's fine.
But we had no choice but go out.
On a plus, hotel staff are friendly.
Rooms are clean and spacious.
Pool was not clean
Absolutely appalling stay here.
Was here as a large group for a wedding nearby - check in was easy and a pleasant drink on the terrace however this is where it stops.
Booked this resort due to the facilities on offer with the beautiful pool as per the photos - the pool was dirty and not in use due to not being cleaned for the season.
Queried at reception and was told to email the manager.
The rooms are dated, dirty and uncomfortable. Beds are old, like camp beds and hard and squeaky.
Breakfast was €10 per person. Coffee poor and breakfast items not topped up so poor and limited choice available.
Dreadful stay. Would never return or recommend.
It’s a lovely hotel, setting is beautiful. The rooms are a bit tired and dated but clean. Comfortable beds and lovely immaculate bedlinen. The staff are helpful and attentive - very nice people
No wi fi in the rooms .No one English speaking channel on TV.No area to seat outdoors( indoors was nice but very cold).I had trouble and felt unsafe since I complain about someone who did not allowed me to park under the cover because he decided to keep his cheap car under the cover because of the rain and he used 2 parking spots.( he refuse to move for me)The next day my rent car was damage on site I believe from a kick of the foot.I never experience anything like this as a driver for more than 30 years.
Lovely hotel , downside swimming pool closed water was black what was remaining in the pool with water bugs swimming around . No tv control in the room after informing reception twice
No WiFi in the room the restaurant couldn't fulfil the full menu the building was tired
The only good thing was the staff who were excellent
Not worth it, very cheap hotel, old building.
Lovely hotel apart from the smoke coming from the chimney left me feeling so rough with sore throat and blocked nose when i complained was told it was from the log fire
Lovely surroundings, light and spacious areas to sit in and lovely outside area.
The outside area in not accessible for anyone with a wheelchair or mobility scooter.
More ramps are needed
