Birthday break
Pros:

The staff were friendly .. our room was cleaned & beds made every day . The whole room was bright fresh & roomy down to the carpet being immaculate clean which I am very happy with : ) I expected the room to be at its best with me celebrating my birthday & with me being not well over the last six months. Thank you to all the staff at Hilton to make my stay comfortable & having a lovely break in Newcastle : )

Great location - super views of the river.
Pros:

Great location. The view from the room was superb.

Cons:

We came out from a concert at the Glasshouse and would have liked a bite to eat but all room service finishes at 10:45. No snacks at the bar either.

Pros:

The whole vibe of the hotel when we walked in, the smell of the floors was lovely. The bar and restaurant were very nice to sit in. Staff were lovely.

Cons:

The only area for consideration was i booked 2 double beds,in a family room. My 16 and 12 year olds felt the bed wasn't big enough.

Pros:

The bathroom was really basic with broken tiles that had been fixed with poor filler job was a mess. The bathroom was small outdated and not the luxury brand that comes with a high expectation of the Hilton hotel. Should be luxury separate shower and bath not a grotty shower curtain didn’t look clean as it was damaged and scratched. The food wasn’t good the room service and the breakfast! The staff were amazing though!

Hilton Gateshead
Pros:

Always love a stay at the hilton Gateshead from check in to checking out staff were amazing, we had canapés jayne the host was very welcoming kept making sure everything was well stocked up, also spoke with Valentino on leaving the lounge was also very chatty,
Spoke with a house keeping the next morning she definitely looked happy in her job I didnt catch her name though,

Room was nice and airy even better you can have the balcony door open will definitely be back some point this year

Good for swimming and easy access to the city
Pros:

Pool was great although a bit busy Sunday late afternoon.

Cons:

No fridge in the rooms and kettle for making coffees. Feel like usually at this price point a coffee machine is in the room. Also there wasn't an easy way to connect a phone to the TV as the TVs aren't connected to the internet. Also TV isn't even a smart TV with the ability to log into any streaming services.
