Good location
Layout of hotel was good with an outside balcony by the Tyne River
The lazy staff in the restaurant, not paying attention, moaning about their systems not working
Everything was very good. Room was brilliant. Bar and restaurant was brilliant..location was short walk across bridge to all bars etc.
Nothing really but I do prefer like in Ireland that parking is included in the hotel room price. It wasn't too bad but it's something alot of people look at when booking hotels
Good food plenty choice at breakfast.
Location was good not far to walk to shops and restaurants. Small Brae when returning from town. If you’re not good on your legs would be a problem.
Staff friendly rooms clean and spacious.
Cost of drinks are steep.
Convenient and professional
All fine
We have just returned from another great stay, we often if off work on the monday book a night here, great deal for executive room sunday nights .
We upgraded to a balcony also it was 23 outside and sunny so the views and weather were 👌🌞😎
I have go to say our favourite member of staff here is alison in the lounge, she is so friendly and always has a chat, remembers us, she is just the sort of person you want in the lounge and a credit to the hotel, also a mention to jackie who was lovely too.
Kathryn receptionist also a lovely member of staff and great on reception .
Got to mention the rooms have been renovated and so much nicer, furniture in lounge was spot on too .
Martin please thank the staff i have mentioned a credit to you and your hotel which we love and look forward to our next visit. Lisa and stephen foster, ncle
Clean, view, room, beds, bathroom, facilities, breakfast buffet.
Check in after 15.
Ok
I like Greek yoghurt there was only plant based or flavoured small tub, fruit was ok but tasted a bit musky .
Great location
Room was excellent but bathroom needs upgrade
I have stayed in many Hiltons, mostly for business, during my life so I knew what to expect. The river view from my spacious room was exceptional. I was taken back by the size of the TV. The shower was excellent. It is difficult to review the food as I only had a salad but the service was prompt. The breakfast was fine though from memory you have to order a fried egg. The ladies on reception were friendly and efficient. The hotel dealt with a lost item query sympathetically. I was sorry to have to abruptly end the telephone conversation due to a coughing fit. Views from the room attached.
This is a large pristine hotel which is efficiently run. I think it lacks idiosyncrasies / individual human touches which can create soul and add to the charm of the property. It does a great and reassuring job for the business person and well heeled tourist on the weekend plus me 😅 I did not like the controls in respect of the air conditioning. I am used to setting a temperature rather than pressing plus/minus 1,2 or 3 from memory. I assumed minus 3 was the strongest cooling setting. I am not certain I was correct as it seemed to not to make a huge difference to the room temperature. It was probably my fault.
Amazing views, very close to Quayside
