Good all rounder
Pros:

Location was good, size of room and cleanliness was exceptional. Well laid out and understated elegance. Services offered were great. Would recommend for those who like their stay to include services with the room (i.e., bed/breakfast).

Cons:

Disappointing water pressure in shower (no doubt deliberate in the name of water conservation etc) and noticeable in toilet also. Little disappointing no laundry service offered until third stay of duration.

The buffet breakfast at Mesh has deteriorated Less choice than previously and not the high quality usually associated with Crown Not good value any more

Crown Promenade has everything we need for our family city getaways.
Pros:

This was my second stay at Crown Promenade and I think it's safe to say that my loyalty is set! It will be hard for me to look elsewhere when we are staying in Melbourne city. It is the ideal family-friendly place to stay thanks to the many activities within the complex. We love the bowling and arcade games at Kingpin. Love the breakfast buffet and the espresso coffee is worth the extra cost - as a proud "coffee snob' it is definitely up to Melbourne coffee standards! The staff will go above and beyond for you too, best service in Melbourne.

Cons:

It would be nice to have late night room service - a nice dessert or cheese platter would go perfect with the city view after the kids finally fall asleep. Not essential of course - just a nice bonus really! Or perhaps even some kind of facilitation to order Uber Eats to the room.

Excellent service from valet parking team ps no photos I’m not into that stuff however will verbalise my appreciation

Overpriced, tired, old place in good location
Pros:

Good location and colourful view at night.

Cons:

The check-in clerk wasn’t very enthusiastic about his job and mumbled with a heavy accent, instead of a warm reception. The rooms are quite dated, with no tap mixers, no coffee machine and poor bathroom lighting. The same food trays of other guests littered the hallway from check-in to the next morning, showing a lack of pride.

Great hotel
Pros:

We were up grade to the Metropol. Great view.of the city from our window.

Cons:

The table in the room was dirty and marks on it. And shower door frame.
Thank you for the offer of upgrade but we were there for one night. We stayed in the room. A bottle of wine and chocolates were given.
