Great location, friendly staff, amazing stay
Pros:

I stayed in a King Room as a solo traveler and it was simply the best. The staff were friendly, the room was huge and had every single thing I could need for a short visit, and the bed was soooo comfortable! I usually bring my own pillowcases and blanket when traveling because a lot of places have stiff pillows and scratchy blankets. Not this place! It was like sleeping on a cloud surrounded by a plethora of plush pillows. I slept like a baby the whole time! This was the second Hilton Garden Inn that I stayed at during my trip to NY and I’m seriously impressed with how this company operates. I’ll be staying exclusively with HGI for future trips after my great experiences.
Bonus: Visit Cacciatori Pizza in Nanuet for a great pizza and friendly counter service! I’m still thinking about that pizza! Also, Rockland Bakery nearby is a magical wonderland that you NEED to visit before leaving! Just make sure you leave room in your carryon for all the amazing bagels, pastries, and goodies you’ll be taking home!

Cons:

The only issue I *personally* had was the turn into the property is so sudden and if you miss it, don’t make the mistake of thinking there’s a back entrance like I did. Don’t turn at the light right outside the hotel! There’s no side entrance from that street. I ended up back on the highway and due to the far distances between exits, it took me 13 minutes to get back to the hotel. If you miss the turn, make a u-turn at the next light or something, it’ll save you a ton of time!

The Nanuet Hilton Garden Inn needs to review itself and listen to what their reviewers are saying.
Pros:

The front desk Janayah, was amazing. She was kind and cheerful. She was the nicest, and friendliest person there.

The room was clean, besides needing a new shower head. It was old and looks dirty, I'm sure it wasnt, but it looked it...& the pillows are horrible... featured, but cheap, not firm, I woke up with a head-neckache.. but, the hotel was nice, although..

Cons:

I can see why it's rated only as a 3 star hotel. When people travel and spend money on a hotel room, and they offer breakfast, they don't expect to come down in the morning, and come to find there is a big sign taped to the glass where the buffet is, telling us that the breakfast is NOT complimentary, that, in fact it is $16.99. It was just disappointing... and a let down. I think that's that's least they could do for their guests.
It was upsetting.

The room was a good size. Plenty of draw space. Good location.

Cons:

We stayed 3 days. They were supposed to clean room every other day. They did not clean the room. Bed was squeezy. Bathroom door did not stay open and it made a noise whenever we opened or closed. We knew breakfast did not come with our stay which we were fine with. We did have breakfast one day. The kitchen did not seem well organized. It took a long time for us to get our meal. This hotel is located behind another hotel. You can see the hotel as you are getting off the highway but it took us a minute to realize our hotel was behind another. We had to make a uturn to get into the driveway.

Pros:

I think female staff were good I didn’t have interaction with male staff.

Cons:

It did not look like any Hilton I have stayed at before. The property felt very old overall and did not appear to have been renovated in a long time.
The elevator was extremely noisy and made me feel like it might break down while going up or down. Although there were smoke-free signs in the hallway, my room constantly smelled of cigarette smoke.
The entrance door to my room was also malfunctioning. On two separate occasions, I had to ask the staff for help because I could not get it to open.
This hotel did not meet the standards I expect from a Hilton. They should either renovate the property or remove the Hilton name from it.

Pros:

Don’t go to this Hotel , it’s disappointing to the Hilton name , it’s old and needs refurbishing.. they won’t see us again …

Staff top-notch, facilities dated and below average
Pros:

Staff was wonderful! Professional, welcoming, and doing a lot with very little.

Cons:

Property is not up-to-date. Lots of little things- closets that wouldn't close, missing hooks in bathroom, sinks that wouldn't drain, and missing ice bucket.
And for the cost - which is quite high due to what I assume is some proximity to NYC- there is no complimentary breakfast which was frustrating. Our family of five had breakfast elsewhere because $14 per person at a mid hotel is ridiculous.

Would stay there again if in that area
Pros:

Great location easy to find.
Great staff.

Cons:

We stayed on a non smoking floor and still could smell residual smoke. Probably not the staff or hotel’s fault.
