We were in town for NCA Championship and at another Marriott property that didn’t have room for our final night. I actually wished we stayed at ICON the entire time. The hotel is beautiful and clean with rooms that reminded me of days gone by with the iron decor and bank vault. The staff was extremely friendly and courteous. Jairo was our shuttle driver anytime we needed to go somewhere. He was kind, polite and a very professional driver. We’re so glad we switched from our other Marriott property.
There was a lot going on in Houston and my usual hotel, the JWM downtown was over $1200 a night. This hotel worked great. Nice gym, and as am Ambassador I would as upgraded to a suite. Rooms a bit dated but very clean.
Breakfast buffet was terrific. Driss did a great job in serving us and making us feel welcome.
Hearsay Lounge across the street is excellent too
I love coming to Hotel Icon’s Bar! Definitely one of the best Bars in Downtown Houston. Jairo made our drinks strong and delicious. I highly recommend coming here with the family, friends, or alone you will not be disappointed!
Vairo was great, so kind and accommodating
La habitación es de tamaño grande. El personal no cumplió pues dijo que si hacía el check in después de las 3 me darían una habitación con cama king y me dieron dos camas dobles. El desayuno está incluido es buffet e incluye varias opciones tanto calientes como frías y cereales.
El no cumplir con lo ofrecido al check in. El vecindario es un poco peligroso tarde en la noche. Las toallas están viejas, deberían reemplazarlas por una nuevas.
This was out 3rd time staying at the Icon. It is an amazing place and very unique It’s beautiful in the lobby, dining area. The rooms are always clean and very comfortable, especially the beds. Each time we have gone we find that every single one of the staff is friendly and extremely accommodating. This also includes the shuttle staff. The shuttle can take you to where you need to go and will pick you up for your return. This is so beneficial so no taxi or uber is needed. Our shuttle driver and valet was Jairo and he was so pleasant and professional. We will be back again
The Hotel and all staff are awesome! Everyone is friendly, attentive, and helpful. The shuttle staff got me to work and back every day (thank you Jairo) even though where I work was a a part of the Ward 5 renovation. Otto in the hotel bar took excellent care of me. Overall based on this visit, I look forward to taking another business trip here.
