The front desk personnel are very friendly and professional. This was a very enjoyable experience for me and for my family.
Had the best time at this bar with the friendliest bartender ever — Jairo. He makes a killer gin and tonic and made me feel very comfortable sitting by myself on a Friday evening. Highly recommend stopping in if you’re at the hotel or walking down main and want a lovely experience.

We had the best experience staying at this location. The service and hospitality were top notch. The staff were all so friendly and went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The vallet staff treated us & our vehicles well. Jairo had the best smile and helped us with such a helping hand. We will be making this a frequent spot to stay from now on.

Schoonmaak was niet optimaal. Moesten continue vragen of kamer schoongemaakt kon worden. En we hadden met ontbijt geboekt en daar gaan ze een coupon voor uit per kamer en niet per persoon waardoor het elke ochtend bij het ontbijt een discussie was. Ontbijt was ook niet heel goed.
The building that is now the Hotel Icon was constructed in 1911 as the Union National Bank. It was briefly the tallest building in Texas. It was a bank on into the 1970's.
Legend has it that Bonnie and Clyde once cased the location, but decided against targeting it.
The hotel is also believed to have ghosts!
In 2000, attempts were made to tear it down and build a luxury apartment high-rise on the spot. Houston's Archeological and Historical Commission declared the building a landmark, and saved it. I am so glad they did!
We loved staying here! It is such a beautiful building. Our room was spacious and the bathtub was about the largest I've ever seen in a hotel.
Hotel and valet employees were great. The hotel is very clean and we felt very safe in this area of downtown.
We loved our stay at Hotel Icon in the middle of downtown Houston! It was perfect for our girl's getaway!
Good location, staff is very friendly, nice large rooms and bathroom, and the hotel shuttle is convenient.

Everything was very nice, staff was wonderful and the guys at valet parking were excellent.
The bartender at the restaurant when we ate there Monday night at 1015 was not very attentive to us. Once our food was delivered she never came back to check on us. I ran out of water, she never offered a refill. Spent the time we were there talking with the man at the bar.
