Pros:

At the time of our visit, the hotel had had only one day to assimilate the government instructions to close restaurants and bars. Despite this, the staff had organised themselves to allow guests to prepare a takeaway breakfast, to collect this without close contact with either staff or other guests and still provide a friendly, helpful service.

Pros:

The property was good. My room, although quite basic, was spotlessly clean and bed was quite comfortable. The reception staff were very pleasant and breakfast was good. All in all I would recommend the hotel and although I don’t expect to visit Leicester again I would certainly use the Campanile group again.

Pros:

The reception staff tried to tell me that I was responsible for her lack of information. I booked an accessible room on Hotels.com website but they did not pass that information on. The reception staff seemed to think I should have rrung the hotel to Inform them. Why use hotel.com and then ring the hotel? Quicker to book direct. Room was changed grudgingly. Clean comfortable and easy access to city centre very good for theatres short walk. 6/03/2020.

Disappointed
Pros:

Disappointed with hotel and facilities. The car park is small so very lucky if you find a space. Early saver meals not available even though advertised. Wi-Fi cost me £3 haven’t had to pay for Wi-Fi in years. Mattress well more like a dogs bed. Paper cups in the room, really can’t we be trusted with mugs. Good location though and next to an interesting International supermarket which opens till, well midnight at least. Leicester is great for shopping

Fine hotel, odd part of the city.
Pros:

This hotel is near the ring road, but in a bit of an out of the way part of town. I stayed here for the Leicester football match though and it was fine. Normal sized rooms, absolute belter of a shower. Absoultely what you would expect out of this price point.

Pros:

On arrival at check-in after a long drive, we were bombarded with the rules and information with not even 'welcome - have you had a good journey?'. Later that evening we went to have a drink at the bar but the barmaid was outside having a ciggie so we gave up. Our room was stifling hot and remained so even with the radiator turned off and the window open. The mattress was old and uncomfortable and we didn't sleep well either night. The second evening we tried the bar again and found two residents drunk and asleep at their table. Ordered two gin and tonics which were served in half pint glasses without ice. However, it was cheap and close to the venue we were visiting which was handy, but other than that, not a particularly pleasant stay.

Pros:

Situation of the hotel is superb, easy walking into city centre and up to the golden mile in the opposite direction. We went to celebrate Diwali. Main receptionist was excellent really effective in what she did. Disappointed that the young girl on reception in the morning didn’t have a clue about anything. Couldn’t sort out a key to the adjoining rooms and then tried to re-charge us for breakfast that we already paid for. So overall nice enough place so basic and simple could be a little cleaner especially around the bar area. Be prepared it’s a pet friendly hotel which we had not realised so a few barking dogs. But overall a good budget stay.

Pros:

Staff all lovely and friendly.
Accommodation was fine. The rooms basic but perfect for what we needed.
Bed will need a new mattress soon as you could feel the springs.
Also the bed on wheels, so kept moving.
Tv was shockingly rubbish, most of the time we had no signal on all channels.
And had to pay for WiFi which was just as bad as the Tv.

Location to the centre was good. And Parking was fab.

Finding the hotel via sat nav caused a little issue - we couldn’t find it. But the staff were helpful in guiding us.
