Friendly staff and a nice evening meal .
Good location and plenty of free parking

Cons:

Bins in room still full from the previous guests .
Shower head needs attention as it was blocked
No hot water for tea or coffee at breakfast.

Lovely room
Pros:

Lovely clean, spacious room.

Breakfast was disappointing as the hot drinks machine was not working and no hot options for food..buffet was limited and no staff around.

Good base for exploring the area.
Pros:

Well positioned for exploring the area particularly the Thomas Hardy houses. Plenty of car parking on site. Very friendly, welcoming staff. Room was a good size and had everything we needed. Good choice of Bar food. Would stay again.

Cons:

A little more eye to detail needed at breakfast which is set out without any staff available. First morning the coffee machine had no water and the second morning we had one knife between us.

Adequate, except for the breakfast.
Pros:

The location was perfect, as we had travelled from the West Midlands so I could take my grandson around the tank museum. Food and facilities were what we expected for the price.

Cons:

Unfortunately there was no cutlery left out at breakfast and the coffee machine was broken. There was no one around to ask as the gentleman who was putting things out had gone home.
The television in the bedroom kept going off so you couldn't watch anything.

Warm and friendly welcoming from the staff and also the regulars that drink in the bar there.
Pros:

The staff were lovely, friendly, helpful and despite many hiccups with our trip on the whole they made us feel very welcome and safe

Cons:

The chef wasn't in so no food was available so maybe someone covering the kitchen would have been good. But the bar staff went out of their way to find us a takeaway that delivered and let us eat it in the restaurant area which was lovely

Although bar staff were pleasant, there was no signing-in, no mention of breakfast -poor overall
Pros:

The location was good and the room was sufficiently spacious.

Cons:

The room was cold and needed two portable heaters full-time. The bathroom heater did not work. The toilet seat was broken (had come off its fixings). There was no toilet brush. When we went downstairs for breakfast, there was no-one around, the room was freezing cold and no breakfast available. We left and would appreciate a refund for breakfast.

A little disappointing
Pros:

The room was big & the bed was comfy. Good location.

Cons:

We paid for breakfast but was only told on arrival that they couldn't provide this because of staff shortages. The room was cold. There was only hot water in the bathroom for 1 night.

Cons:

Missing bedding on the additional bed in the room for my son was disappointing and no one on site after 10pm meant this couldn’t be fixed.

Don't stay here unless it's under new ownership
Pros:

Staff were friendly and bed was comfy enough

Cons:

Room wasn't clean with food debris visible in several locations, bathroom smelt of drains, furniture and carpets looking grubby, heating wasn't on much but luckily there was an additional electric heater, no breakfast

Location to our rally venue that’s all

Cons:

Bar closed at 9pm on the Friday NO kitchen open then on Saturday bar closed at 8pm and once again no kitchen also the breakfast on the Saturday was totally cold left out no fried eggs etc no hot water machine for tea and coffee a total shambles shower didn’t drain they didn’t clean the room
