Een van de beste hotels van Funchal
Pros:

Top hotel met prachtige tuin en flink zwembad.
Goed ontbijt. Ruime kamer. Op verzoek werd dubbel bed opgemaakt als kingsize. Goede pilates les en leuke tuin toer. Airportbus stopt pal voor de deur.

Cons:

Douchen in bad blijft ouderwets. Helaas geen directe toegang tot zee.

A little paradise with a price 😉
Pros:

A beautifully designed, green and spacious site with a very pleasantly open architectural layout for the building complex. Very welcoming atmosphere.
Great variety of (evening-) program, activities and facilities.

Cons:

Pool times could have been more generous in the evening.

Very nice hotel close to Funchal and beautiful surroundings
Pros:

The outdoor spaces with the pools and the beautiful views and gardens. The staff is very frienly and attentive. The food is good and diverse for all tastes.

Cons:

The circulation troughout the buildings is a bit confusing, too many levels, entrancee and elevators. There is a lack of space and activites for young people.

Absolutely gorgeous!
Pros:

The hotel is gorgeous, the gardens are phenomenal, they even have a shadowed orchid garden and an aviary, the attention to detail is impressive, and so are the swimming pools. A stunning hotel. The room was lovely, massive and comfy and we booked the most basic room. The aircon was impeccable in its efficiency. The food was delicious, such high quality 10/10. I have stayed in many 4 and 5 star hotels and this was one of the best, can't actually believe how lovely it all was, given the price!

Super Relax-Hotel mit wunderschönem Garten
Pros:

Wir waren nun schon zum wiederholten Mal im Porto Mare und sind immer wieder begeistert. Sehr schöne Zimmer, eine fantastische Anlage mit mehreren Pools, die in einen grossen botanischen Garten eingebettet sind. Immer genug freie Liegen. Tags im Garten ein Café mit Snacks und Getränken, entspannte Atmosphäre. Sehr schöner Innenpool, toller Fitness-Bereich. Super Frühstück. Bushaltestelle direkt vor dem Hotel. In dem Umgebung Supermarkt und zahlreiche Restaurants.
Jeden Abend qualitativ gute Livemusik. - Wir kommen wieder !

Cons:

Die Getränke abends in der Bar passen vom Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis nicht mehr gut, war früher besser. Der Supermarkt um die Ecke bietet etwas für jeden Geschmack.

Cons:

The rooms were warm most of the day. It's an efficiency hotel but there's no reason the room should take all day and into the night to cool down. The staff at the restaurants and pools are fantastic, front desk aren't as friendly.
