Ich habe 350 Euro und zwei Ladekabel im Zimmer vergessen. Etwa eine Stunde nach dem Check-out habe ich dort angerufen. Anstatt direkt im Zimmer nachzuschauen, wurde mir gesagt, ich müsse eine E-Mail schreiben. Nachdem ich die E-Mail geschickt hatte, dauerte es einen ganzen Tag, bis ich eine Rückmeldung erhielt – mit der Aussage, dass nichts gefunden wurde.

Wir sind fälschlicherweise beim Buchen davon ausgegangen, dass das Hotel einem gewissen Standard entspricht. Wir kennen die Kette Sofitel auch schon aus anderen Ländern beziehungsweise anderen Städten. Das, was wir dort erleben mussten, grenzt aber an Vortäuschung falscher Tatsachen. Es ging schon damit los, dass der versprochene Tiefgaragenstellplatz erst mal nicht zur Verfügung stand, da die Garage voll war. Auf Nachfrage hieß es, wir könnten das Fahrzeug draußen stehen lassen und der Portier würde sich später darum kümmern. Dies haben wir direkt am Hauptbahnhof München nicht in Erwägung gezogen. Zumal auch noch Taschen auf dem Rücksitz des Fahrzeuges waren. Diese wollten wir eigentlich nicht extra ausladen. Dafür hatten wir extra den Tiefgaragenstellplatz mit reserviert. Nach dem beziehen der Maisonette Suite, die wir gebucht hatten, fiel schnell auf, dass die Klimaanlage nicht funktioniert. Im Zimmer waren es 28°. Auf Nachfrage hieß es. Wir könnten ein anderes Zimmer bekommen. Wir sind also dann in eine Junior Suite umgezogen. Dieses Zimmer war kleiner und befand sich in der vierten Etage und nicht in der Dachgeschoss Etage. Im Zimmer selbst waren die Matratzen durch gelegen und schwarzer Schimmel in der Dusche. Da wir nicht mehr die Nerven hatten, noch einmal umzuziehen, haben wir dann eine Nacht dort verbracht. Am nächsten Morgen hatten wir Frühstück aufs Zimmer bestellt. Dies sollte bis 9:45 Uhr angeliefert werden. Um 10:00 Uhr haben wir bei der Rezeption angerufen und einmal nachgefragt. Dort hieß es, es wäre keine Bestellung für Frühstück eingegangen. Somit sind wir dann also ohne Frühstück abgefahren. Alles in allem kann man nur sagen das Hotel hat maximal einen Standard von drei Sternen. Ist insgesamt renovierungsbedürftig.

We stayed at the Sofitel for twelve days and had an amazing stay. Zero issues. Zero complaints. The entire hotel was immaculate and exceptionally clean. The entire staff was OUTSTANDING from the minute we checked in. We came to Germany for medical treatment for my husband’s cancer and everyone was so kind and helpful. We had a few days away from the clinic and we had hoped to visit Vienna. Unfortunately, my husband wasn’t feeling well enough for that and the front desk worked with us to find a room at the hotel. We moved one night to a two-story suite and they did not charge us any extra and then they moved us back to the previous room. They had the room ready each time also. The breakfast buffet was delicious and every single server was pleasant, cheerful and attentive. This was one the BEST hotel stays that we have ever experienced and we have traveled a lot. The front desk knew about my husband’s condition and people checked on us throughout the day, including managers and servers from the buffet and also their La Delice restaurant (all meals were delicious there). Even the bellhops were asking how he was feeling each day! They went out of their way to make us comfortable during our entire stay. We spent our last 3 days in Germany at the Kempinski in Munich and the service was disappointingly rude and not any where near the level of the Sofitel.

Ein Hotel, in dem man sich wohlfühlt.
Pros:

Zimmer - sehr sauber. Gut ausgestattet.

Cons:

Die Präsentation des Frühstücks sowie die Anordnung der Frühstücksprodukte wirken etwas unübersichtlich.
Darüber hinaus wird jedes zubereitete Omelett am Ende des Kochvorgangs mit einem zuvor in Wasser(immer in das selbe Wasser) getauchten Spatel serviert. Dies hat mich unangenehm berührt, da der Spatel möglicherweise zuvor mit Lebensmitteln in Kontakt gekommen sein könnte, die ich nicht bevorzuge.
Ich empfehle, diesem Punkt besondere Aufmerksamkeit zu schenken.
