Exceptional in every way — with a manager who truly goes the extra mile
Pros:

The Sofitel Munich Bayerpost is the kind of hotel that reminds you why you travel well.
The property is stunning — modern, beautifully decorated, and impeccably maintained. The amenities are top tier across the board, right down to the Japanese toilet in the bathroom, which is one of those delightful surprises that tells you a hotel has thought of everything.
Food-wise, this place delivers on every front. Breakfast was excellent — generous, fresh, and beautifully presented. The gourmet dinners, however, were in a league of their own. Sophisticated without being fussy, and genuinely memorable.
What elevated this stay from great to unforgettable was Umut, the manager. He went above and beyond in every sense of the phrase. He helped me purchase train tickets to Salzburg and personally walked me through how to take the metro to the airport — the kind of hands-on, genuine assistance you simply don’t expect from hotel management. He treated me like family, not just a guest.
For anyone visiting Munich, this is where you want to be. Five stars — and a special thank you to Umut.y

The hotel itself and location are quite nice

Cons:

Be careful. I had to pay for the hotel twice- while checking in and during check out. During check out 2 guys at the reception assured me that the 1st summ was only held and will return to my cart in max 3 days. 2 weeks has passed. No refund, no reaction to ma emails, it's hard to call in order someone could talk on the topic. In fact I was cheated.

Das Personal und die Ausstattung des Hotels ist überragend.

Cons:

Die Betten sind sehr ungewöhnlich, da die Matratzen sehr weich sind und nicht die übliche Härte haben, welche mehrheitlich gefällt. Die Matratzen sind wohl aus Federn, welche täglich massiert werden müssen, man liegt ständig in einer Kuhle, nicht angenehm.

nice hotel, lacks warmth
Pros:

This is a lovely, well-appointed hotel located right at the main train station, which was very convenient for our travels to/from Munich. Our room was comfortable, but a little dusty and housekeeping was a bit inconsistent, although fine. Breakfast is nice, but a little crowded. Note, there are not many options for vegetarians. Overall, this is a large and excellent hotel, but the feel is a bit cold and impersonal.
