Le personnel est réellement aux petits soins. Le restaurant et le salon offrent une ambiance confortable et apaisante sous ces magnifiques voûtes.
La chambre etait spacieuse et la literie confortable.
Le seul inconvénient lié à la typologie et au caractère de ce batiment historoque : les escaliers positionnés dans les deux tours qui demandent à leurs usagers un bon équilibre et du souffle.
L’élégance
The morning service was exceptional with the breakfast. The service team worked well together to bring coffee and special orders and make sure we were comfortable. They were welcoming and attentive. When I reported the battery in my remote control was dead, it was quickly replaced within 20 minutes. The hotel is interesting and provides a great atmosphere with a great location.
The evening service was less consistent with opening the door when we arrived and no greeting. There was limited or no help with baggage in the small stair case. Service in the bar area for a drink or cocktail in the evening was not offered or encouraged. It almost felt like we were an inconvenience. The daily service in the room was inconsistent. While the bed was made every day during our three day stay, one day the soap and shampoo was filled and fresh towels and coffee, and the next day the bed was made but the trash wasn't removed and no coffee. It wasn't a problem but the higher level of service we were expecting wasn't consistent.
The historical interiors were magical. The Lobby Lounge and our room were exactly the step back in time that we were looking for but with modern amenities and great bed + pillows.
I wish the Lobby was a bit more active although I know we were a bit off season so that might have caused. I also wish the pool was more heated as it would have been a perfect way to warm up on our cold, rainy day walking the city.
Convenient central location, comfortable and spacious room, interesting bathroom, great amenities including bathrobe, slippers and coffee machine and small frig in the room. We even enjoyed the challenge of the circular stairs - counted it as part of our daily exercise program. Breakfast was great. Nearby street parking also worked for us.
That we couldn't stay longer
L’hôtel , très bien placé, est magnifique, on est plongé quelques siècles en arrière, c’est très beau et surprenant.
Le personnel est attentif et attentionné.
Le petit déjeuner est merveilleux surtout dans cette cave où règne une ambiance feutrée.
La salle de bain de la suite Clairveaux est très belle.
Seule remarque , une fois les pièces d’accueil passées les couloirs et une parties des chambres sont quelconques, portes sans style, murs sans intérêt…
Le coût de la chambre est trop élevé.
Les chambres ne sont pas exceptionnelles et l’escalier est raide. Mais surtout le petit déjeuner est très cher

Too many stairs from the 3rd floor to the lower floor...replace the carpet on the stairs for this steep staircase.

la scala a chiocciola in pietra è molto bella e suggestiva ma molto scomoda per portare i bagagli ;-( ma purtroppo non è possibile fare diversamente ;-)
