We stayed here for our honeymoon it was absolutely beautiful and a wonderful time. They were a little pushy about upgrades but other then that it was perfect.

We loved it we will be back soon

Everything about this resort was amazing and clean

Everything was excellent.

My wife and I had an amazing stay. The resort is absolutely beautiful and never felt crowded. We had a beachfront swim-up room with a gorgeous view, and it was the perfect way to relax. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, always made us feel welcome.

The beach itself wasn’t the best because of the seaweed (a common issue across the area), but the resort handled it and everything else wonderfully. The property is large and spread out—it feels like a mile from one end to the other—but the constant shuttle service with golf carts makes it easy to get around. We never had to wait more than a minute or two.

Overall, a fantastic experience. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing, beautiful getaway with excellent service!

For it being our first time it was amazing

Nice Spanish décor but dated. Had a swim up room and the pool was very old and there was a lot of cleaning that needed to be done with the sand dirt and bugs.

Had a wonderful trip this past July. Highly recommend

Pros:
The food was very tasty and nicely presented.
Good golf cart service around the resort.
Good waiters and bartenders in all restaurant and bars.
Good housekeeping.
The resort area is very nice.

Cons:
The lazy river is short, very narrow, and shallow.
Very limited bar service by swim-up rooms.
No mats for swimming in the pool (bring you own).
Both room keys stopped working in mid-stay.
In restaurants, reservations are required for the entire stay in advance (restaurants were 60% empty).
The breakfast buffet is very small.
Coconuts are falling from palm trees onto the paths.
The beach is rocky and not suitable for swimming.
Nobody cleans up the front of the swim up rooms (animal s…t has been lying around all week).

I did not like the fact that its beaches are covered in seaweed. You cannot go swimming at all, you must go outside the resort. They do have swimming pools though

The property was nice however we wasn’t told you have to make reservations to eat anywhere. Also there is no beach and the property was at 20% capacity so it seemed deserted.

Hotel is nice, quiet and clean. Lots of pools and bars. But when I got there concierge asked where did we booked our stay, I told him Expedia. After I did spa and I had to pay at checkout I mention that I get $100 spa credit thru Expedia and they said it was only on 80 minutes massage and not on the 50 minutes, so I got no credit on that, so communication is 0. Resort offers the catamaran, jet skies etc… so I reserved the maroma beach brunch catamaran and jet skies and when we got there, they said the jet skies where sold out. But thru out the day those jet skies where barely used. They offer a service but they don’t want to provide it.
Our second day we went to make our reservations with our concierge and I asked her where do we leave the dirty dishes from room service and she said leave them inside because there’s animals and they’ll make a mess. So the day before check out we ordered room service in the afternoon, and when we got back to the room at night the dishes were outside on a wall and the animals dropped them to the ground. I do not know who would do that since room had already been cleaned that day, we brought them in and left them inside. My guess was they wanted the dishes to get all broken and not give my deposit back since is $500 usd. I’m just putting this out here bc it looked like it was some kind of scam…. So beware on that.

My husband and I went to celebrate our 20th anniversary after honeymooning here 20 years prior. I sent an email prior to arrival and not a single thing was done to recognize this celebration. We were met with a hard sell on attending a sales 90 minute presentation in exchange for a candlelight dinner and 25 minute massages. While we agreed at first we decided not to do this and the salesperson was reluctant to accept our decision. Once he did, he was done with us and any part of him helping us with dinner reservations or anything was done. The staff are all lovely and kind but communication is lacking. We were told if we walked down the property there would be ocean access which was untrue. The entire beachfront area had red flags and huge cement blocks in the swimming area. There were a few areas we were able to get in the water but it was rocky and hard to get to a part that was nice. When we asked staff about the ocean we were given many different answers. Food was great for an all inclusive and the drinks, especially at the martini bar were great. There was a push to do a catamaran trip that is included but at one point expressed to us that it was part of the sales incentive. After being at many all inclusive in the area we were left disappointed by the activities with regard to daytime entertainment. The evening entertainment was good and nightlife at Guacamayas fun 2 of the 3 nights. The resort itself was very clean but the pool was hot and there were dead bees.

The service was exceptional!

Food was excellent. Employees need to be more informed on location of restaurants, and time of their service. Drivers should be more friendly and stop when need ( we tried a couple of times to get a ride and they ignored us)
Very disappointed after checking out, can't remember the females name, she was offering a coupon for next visit, my husband asked several times about giving him an estimate if we stay 3 more days, she kept going back to the coupon. We told her we were not interested and she just walked away.

The resort was nothing short of amazing! Very nice. I loved everything about this place. Already planning to go back.
