Pros:

It was not worth the money. It was a basic hotel. We've stayed at better places for the cost.

Cons:

Was woken up out our sleep twice for false fire alarm, then power was out, so we had to wear clothing that was not all that wrinkled, and my wife had to use my phone light to do her make up. We decided to do our last day somewhere else.

Great location, incredible staff but advance warning: parking$55 a day and not included/discounted.
Pros:

Hotel staff and valets were excellent 5star. My wife loved ❤️ the early morning 🌄 complementary coffee ☕️ to start her day off right before her conference.

Hotel clean, rooms great.

Cons:

We still rate the hotel as 5-star BUT it is deceptive to not put daily parking rates (that are not included in daily cost of hotel) outlined in a more CLEARER WAY when making a reservation. And a $55 daily is extremely pricey compared to Chicago's $28 day average hotel parking rate or actual free parking.

Part of the reason we stayed at Garden Hilton was for the perfect downtown location and that parking that I thought was free or at least discounted to $20 daily with hotel stay.

Additionally, the restaurant (we thought as more upscale) was pretty much a bar with pub food/expensive prices so majorly underwhelming and staff blah.

Clogged drain
Pros:

The location and being close to everything.

Cons:

My room was not great. The shower in my room did not drain properly, and I had to shower with water to my ankles. For the price I paid for the room I expected way better. I paid less to stay at the Hilton in Chicago and had a way better room. I wouldn't stay in this particular hotel again and I would not recommend it. It was very disappointing.

Bar closed too early on a Friday night. Our play had just gotten out, and there were local games still playing we wanted to watch and have a drink
