Alvida - Paphos.
I’ve stayed in posher more expensive hotels in Paphos - but my experience here has been really great.

Good location.
Tomes of the Kings is across the road - a walk through there to the far left corner (facing the sea) brings you to a gate onto the lovely coast walk to the cafe at Lighthouse Beach and then into Paphos Harbour.

Big roundabout outside the entrance to Tomes of the Kings - turn left here and it’s a short walk into Paphos Old Town.

Bus stop outside the hotel - short bus journey (€2) takes you to the bus station and then from there onto the harbour.
As you walk outside the gate turn right and there is a Lidl a couple of minutes walk away.
Plus there are a few bars, gift shops and plenty of places to hire cars near the hotel.

Pool area - good.

IMO what makes this hotel a bit special is the hotel staff - they are exceptional - friendly and warm.

And a special mention to the Chef - I’ve seen more choice in hotels in Paphos - but I haven’t tasted better food. I’m not a foodie but I really looked forward to the buffet food here 👍
And the cleaning ladies - so friendly and sweet - thank you 👍

Fantastic hotel! Hotel was great value for money & it ticked all the boxes for our week's stay as a family group of 5 (ages 11 to 72). Excellent choice of food in the restaurant, breakfast was particularly good. Room was spacious and clean, as was the entire hotel. Parts of it felt a little dated & we felt that some modernisation to the restaurant and communal spaces would go a long way to improve the experience - sunbeds could definitely do with being replaced with new, more comfortable ones. Outdoor pool was still a bit too cold for swimming in end March/early April, but the indoor pool was a nice alternative for our son. Great location, 5min walk to Tombs of the Kings, 5min walk to Lidl, 10min walk to the Old Town (highly recommend dining at Muse), bars & beaches nearby, & a 40min coastal walk to Paphos Harbour. The overall atmosphere was warm and friendly, with a special mention of thanks to Henry, George, Chet, the cleaners who do a fantastic job, plus all the other front of house staff who were exceptional with their service, the entertainment guy who got us hyped up for Bingo, & the guest services lady who helped us arrange a trip to Paphos Zoo (highly recommend, a great day out). From all of us - Thank you, Avlida!

Amazing experience, don’t believe what the BBC are telling you, there are no issues here and the hotel is amazing, George the Head Barman is the most welcoming host you could ever wish to meet. Amazing experience I would recommend to everybody!

Cyprus is safe don't cancel your travel plans and support the local economy that's so reliant on tourism.

This was our 3rd stay here Hotel very clean staff always ready to help.
The food is a good quality,but lacks variety. But don't let that put you off plenty restaurants a short walk away..
Rooms large enough bath room is a good size.
Good size balcony.
Entertainment goes on all day and is enjoyable.
The bar staff are fantastic always laughing,plenty of tables and chairs to relax around. Bar closes at 11.30pm so I'm told, George the manager top man.

George the head barman was amazing and made me and my family feel right at home. He provided a service that went above and beyond. He went out of his way to make sure everyone was provided with anything they wanted.

Highlights
- friendly and hospitable front desk for check in and out
- good room size with plenty of space for luggage and bags
- partial view of the blue sea and city neighbourhoods is lovely
Improvement potential
- old fashioned and out of date room interior including the bathroom
- thin door and wall, so all noises from the corridor and neighbours can be heard
- the breakfast offered several options but more quantity than quality

Nice hotel but the best was the wonderful staff. Very service minded and friendly, and the operations manager Andreas really went the extra mile to make our stay as we had expected.

Wszytko, super lobby fajne imprezy

Just returned from a wonderful holiday at the Avlida hotel in Paphos. Please don't pay attention to the scaremongering on social media. Cyprus is perfectly safe. We didn't feel in any danger at all. Unfortunately for the hotel, there has been a lot of cancellations and for Easter it was very quiet. All the staff were so friendly and really helpful. For an all-inclusive hotel I was very impressed with the variety and quality of the food. I enjoyed the banter with Henry in the dining room. George and the bar staff kept the drinks flowing. There was a large range of cocktails available to all-inclusive guests and they would make others if you wished. Agatha on Reception made us feel really welcome on arrival and advised us on how to get around on the buses. Cosmi the head entertainer fully involved my autistic daughter when playing boules and kept us entertained when playing bingo at the evening entertainment interlude. The manager was very visible throughout our stay making sure the staff were looking after guests and keeping the hotel clean and tidy. The pool area is immaculate with plenty of sunbeds. I can't rate this hotel highly enough.

Kind and helpful team, chef, waiters and waitresses were very friendly, always smiling and happy to help. Food was very flavourful (dinner) and really enjoyed. Thank you!

It was great, the food was delicious, the service was very nice, especially George, the head bartender.

The food is amazing! I wish I had two stomachs to eat more of it, haha. Great atmosphere at the bar with George the head bartender, and of course the drinks are delicious too!

What a nice hotel comfortable relaxed and in a good location staff are really helpful and friendly especially George the head barman and the entertainment manager 😀
