Was evicted for drinking in my room.
Had to be out same day even though rent was paid in full. Steve would walk into my room without permission all the time.
Zero privacy
Dogs barking non stop & kept me
Up thought throughout the night
Drugs everywhere
I was confirmed and assured through Expedia on the 24th that there was an reservation. The manager cancelled all reservations and didn't contact anyone. I was not the only one. I had nowhere to stay and I came from Georgia alone. Needless to say, I was livid.
When I went to check in at 4:35 p.m., I was told there was no way to check in because they do not serve overnight stays anymore. They have turned into an apartment complex and you have to file an application to live there. Even though I had a reservation through hotels.com two months prior to this check-in. And hotels.com was unable to reach anyone and management to waive the penalty for a cancellation, even though you cancellation was their fault not mine. So not only do you lose your reservation you also lose your money and you have to pay more money to go somewhere else in town and find another room for the night. On the front door they also had a stop work permit because of them turning it into an apartment complex instead of just a hotel, they cannot finish plumbing and electricity because they did not file the correct permits. This was absolutely terrible on i-65 studios and with hotels.com resolving the issue.
This property was not as advertised and very unclean and felt unsafe. The front desk staff was kind, but did not check our ids or need any sort of information. There appeared to be people living here long term, the doors had painters tape rather than numbers, the hallways were very dirty, room smelled of smoke and music was loud all night. The facets hot and cold were backwards and the toilet was shimmed and leaked with each flush. Also, there was a stop work order on exterior door indicating that any attempted renovations had been denied for the property. Also all exterior doors were unlocked and the building was unsecure.
Our room had one towel (wash cloth) , unable to get more since front desk is not staffed. Many people appear to live there and hallways were not vacuumed.
No phone in room. So if you needed anything you had to go down to the front desk and pick up a phone on the counter to get a hold of someone. Microwave but you would have to move it to plug it in. Toilet backed up for an entire day. Supposed to have two beds. They brought us a bed but with no sheets or comforter or pillows. Towels were stinky. No ice bucket. No elevator for handicap people. Lobby closed Saturday and Sunday.
The lady there Saturday and Sunday was very nice though and came up Sunday to plunge the toilet and clean it.
It was a very weird experience.
Great price, nice and quiet small town and the staff and management are very helpful. The rooms are exactly as shown in the pics. Lots of restaurants nearby to choose from and for your grocery needs a Walmart you can walk to.
The Staff is Great. They have updated the Hotel and they have done a wonderful job its cleanliness is a 10+. . And I will definitely go back again. Everyone there are very helpful with everything. Definitely worth going back. See ya Soon.
Very nice hotel, the new renovation is looking amazing. Me ànd my family stayed and really enjoyed our experience. The staff are very friendly the rooms were very clean. Would definitely stay again. 🙂
Very great place to stay. The staff is very nice and very helpful. The newly renovated rooms looks amazing. It’s a cozy place that feels like a home away from home. Even though it is being renovated it’s still quiet and peaceful. Highly recommend this place. It is right behind a Waffle House, circle k and McDonald’s,arbys,Wendy’s and Walmart are all in very close distance. It’s right off the interstate which makes it even more convenient for those traveling, they have parking for semi drivers as well.
My girlfriend and I stayed late November and had a really nice and clean updated room. Bed was very comfortable and the staff was super nice. Lots of great resturants near by. Will definitely stop the next time we pass through.☆☆☆☆☆
Love the new rooms and new look just beautiful they came so far and the staff was so friendly and accommodating I highly recommend and look forward to seeing the final results of the renovation when it's complete
We planned to stay 2 nights for our daughter's graduation. This was the only place nearby under $200. They are transitioning to independent ownership, and nobody informed us of that. Both rooms (one for the in-laws) stank, but not as much as the whole hall. Non smoking rooms, btw. The in-laws shower control crumbled and came off in their hand. The AC was flaky, continually tripping off and on, even in the off position. The bath sink had an ice bucket underneath to catch the drips from the drain. Only half the lights worked. The bath vent fans didn't even have a control. Just a very old hotel that is basically crumbling. Definitely not worth even $25 a night. We left after 1 night. To top it off the front desk attendant refused to refund us for the 2nd night and lied about checking with the owner. Reservations had been made in April directly through choice hotels.
The room was dirty: walls chipped and unpainted where damaged, carpet untacked, moldy growth in shower area to include shower nozzle. It smelled of smoke and something else that we couldn't identify, even though it was suppose to be a non-smoking room. The TV didn't work and the sink in the bathroom was clogged and leaked beneath it. The coffee pot was stained and looked dirty and the tea bags which were furnished were wet and moldy.
When you're traveling and just want a good bed and clean room this is a good place to stop for under $100. That with the refrigerator, microwave and breakfast the room and bedding were clean highly recommend them. It was a kind of room you could have stayed a week in
Me and my fiancé booked a 6 night stay at the quality inn in scottsburg Indiana..the free breakfast was fresh and nutritious..Having yogurt, fresh waffles,4 kinds of muffins,toast,3 kinds of fritters including apple..fresh juice…and 3 whole grain cereals to choose from..and of course coffee!!!amazing!!!The service was friendly and worked hard to make sure our every need was accommodated..thank you Amanda and mike
They had a room available, so we took it after a long day of travel. Got up to the room and it had not been cleaned...manager had cleaning crew come right up to clean. Hallways had more burned out lights than lit ones, hallway carpeting looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in months....after cleaning crew left, we had no drinking glasses (even paper).....no coffee cups for coffee machine, 1 coffee packet, no creamers or sugars.....could not use computer as none of the outlets worked.....laundry room out of order and filthy...went downstairs for the "complimentary continental breakfast" the next morning at 6:15.....3 muffins and 2 cartons of yogurt were the only items. Will definitely not be staying there again!
I remember this building from the 70s. I am from southern Indiana originally. Came up from Georgia for my college reunion last weekend. We had a confirmed booking with a confirmation number with another hotel through a 3rd party nearby. There was a computer snafu unbeknownst to us and we had no room. Tired from a long day on the road, we needed a room right away. We were referred to this hotel. Oh I have pictures of the room. Sheets unclean, dirty carpet, holes and paint coming off the walls, evidence of previous vandalism in the room (tv stolen). The AC air was musty and unclean even the hair dryer didn't work. The ironing board cover had a huge stain on it. The curtains were dirty and wrinkly and we were on the first floor. Not only that, section 8 people are staying there as well. Surviving the night, the next morning, my hubby took a bath and found a long hair in the tub, totally gross and disgusting! When we checked in the night before, the man who did so, was not wearing a uniform just street clothes. The next morning, I spoke to the manager, some old Indian guy to cancel our second night there. He cancelled our second night but keep our money in pending debit status plus one extra night for a week. My husband was livid. We were traveling and needed access to our money right away. My husband informed me the pending charges dropped off today, 10/09/21. The people working there were very unprofessional in all ways imaginable. We stayed there on 10/01/21. I highly recommend staying at the Holiday Inn across I-65, which is where we stayed the next night and one night in Columbus. We were very pleased with our stay at the Holiday Inn. No problems there. So whatever you do, do not stay at the Quality Inn in Scottsburg, Indiana.
Was a place to stay, affordable and the staff was very friendly and accommodating!! The young lady, Lauren, was very nice and apologetic even after I had snapped on her! Thank you, Lauren, you are a great receptionist!!! The place is unique in its decor! I would definitely stay here again if traveling through the area!!
Room was clean and service was great. Easy going and good people to deal with. Latashia made the experience fast, easy, and efficient. I would recommend anyone to stop by the scottsburg location and ask to speak with her.
