Good Value Stay
Pros:

Our rooms were clean & updated. Furniture in the lobby was new and fresh.

Cons:

The exterior could use an overhaul. Some of the lights in the hotel name sign were burnt out.

Cons:

I could hear the people in the room above us walking around loudly, stayed at a Holiday Inn Express in Des Moines IA the next night and had the same issue.

All was good until @4:15 am. The fire alarm went off,hotel evacuated only to learn it was a false alarm.😡

Cons:

There was no hot water during my stay. Hotel told me that I needed to call Booking.com for a refund. Booking.com tells me that I need to confirm with hotel. Basic hot water is a legal obligation by the hotel. I will be actively fighting this with my credit card and will be contacting the BBB to report both the hotel and Booking.com - this will be the last time I ever use Booking.com and I have nearly 10K worth of bookings on here.

Comfortable bed

Cons:

Air-con unit in the room ran as loud as a jet engine.
Premises looked tired and lacked TLC
Staff were average at best (exception was the young man you checked us in)

Pros:

The staff was great, the room and facility was updated, clean and very comfortable. The breakfast and coffee were very good as well.

Cons:

I didn’t like that there was only one ice machine on the first floor. Also, not all the outlets next to the beds worked.

My overnight stay was nice and quiet. Carpets need swept better since there were food crumbs at bed.
Pros:

The breakfast provided a good selection of food choices. It was fresh and warm. The hours serving breakfast were very good.

The room was modern and lovely, the beds were comfy.
Pros:

The location was great. There were businesses nearby to shop and eat at.

Cons:

We did find a goldfish cracker and some crumbs in our room. We also had an issue with field crickets breaking into our bathroom. Three of them to be exact. Not housekeepings fault but my granddaughter freaked out.
