Dissapointing
Pros:

This is our 5th time at this hotel, and this is our first day.
After a long day travelling we went out for a drink to see an old friend who plays guitar locally, we deliberately got back for a last drink in the rooftop bar whose hours are till midnight, we were at the bar at 11:40 and told they were closed and refused service. I was asked if i had a band (on my wrist) which i did but wasnt all inclusive- maybe that made a difference ?
Such a disappointment from a hotel we had come to love staying at. :(
We are already beginning to think this is going to be a crap week. We’ll see…

Relaxing stay
Pros:

Lovely hotel, smaller restaurant than we have been used to with AI, but the food was always plentiful and a good selection. BBQ and Chicken rotisserie nights were very good.

Top floor bar and sunbathing areas were a lovely retreat, very friendly staff who appreciated my attempt at some very bad Spanish drinks orders … never an issue finding a sun bed.

Clean hotel, rooms a good size and worth extra for a sea view. Nice location - there are lots of steps to the beach, but there is also a lift (never used it) beaches lovely in both directions. Sea swimming (main reason for location) was good, clear sea with a couple of rough days to add to the challenge.

Will definitely return.

Lovely 4 night stay for winter sun
Pros:

We came over the Feb half term break for 4 nights AI. Got a privte transfer from the airport, and it was about a 25 minutes trip. Checked in quickly, purple band for AI, and given a key card each. Our room was 505. Basic but functional, there was a large empty space where a 3rd bed must have been, a chair would have been useful there to fill the space. There was a sofa and 2 coffee tables. 2 single beds pushed together, but that was fine. Managed to get the AC to work properly by end of our break (this was an us issue though!) 1 plug socket and light at each side of the bed, with a little table to put bits. Small fridge, and provided with 1 large bottle of water (that the Sunrise bar on the roof terrace filled for us when needed, he also filled my other plastic water bottles too) Enough storage space for the time we were there, a safe which we didnt use. We had a seaview room, and the view was lovely, decent size balcony got the sun on the afternoon until 6.30pm. No plug socket next to where the kettle set was, but we just moved it to under the TV. Shower was nice and powerful, there was also body wash machine dispenser too. Towels were changed every other day which is fine. Really large mirror great for 2 people getting ready, and a shaving x4 mirror, and could use the shaver plug for my straightners. There was also an adequate hairdryer, but no diffuser/end attached. It was a very quiet room, we heard no evening noise. Food was fine, had everything you needed for breakfast, decent selection of 3 juices, 2 coffee machine (only 1 worked during our stay) Coul get fried eggs and omelettes made fresh.Lunch we had in main buffet restaurant, also good selection of different things and some things weremade fresh then also. Table service for drinks, which came quickly. Buffet evening meal, several show cooking stations, fresh fish, various meats, setaks, etc, were very good, preferred those over the other food, which could be on the cool side, but didnt realise until last night, there is a microwave to heat things up if you want. The deserts I was a little disappointed in as thats what I always ove about my holidays! Ice cream was a bit artificial, and the cake things werent really my thing, but there was fresh fruit. Always really busy by 8, so would have to wait a little longer to get drinks served, but never more than a 5 minute wait, the staff work very hard, just be patient with them, and smile and thank them. Didnt use the pool bar or the lobby bar. The sunrise bar on the roof terrace was where we got our drinks. Limited AI spritis offering, could pay for premium if you wanted to. There were 6 cocktails available, I would say 4 of them were really nice. In plastic cups for sunbathing area, glasses for seated area. Spirits are VERY generous servings, more like trebles, so be careful! We only used the downstairs pool once, which was a decent temp (slightly heated) We mainly used the roof terrace in the nudist sunbathing section, with 2 jacuzzis. Our 1st time, was very pleasant, and peaceful, plenty sunbeds, no one 'reserving' them. Hotel is in a very good location. There is a Spar right next to it, and 2 minute walk to beach, and 10-15 minutes to the various centres/shops, closest bar is Molly Malones (2 mins) Take cat treats with you and feed the strays at the deserted centre near hotel, they will appreciate it. Had a really nice break, Would I say its a 4* hotel? Probably not, but its a good 3*, and is perfectly adequate, we had no real issues, didnt starve, and the hotel was of a nice size, not too big. Entertainment, we saw water aerobics once, there were a few things happening on the roof terrace on an evening, we caught the music quiz, and guitaraist, both which were very good. Staff are all very nice nd work hard. Left little tips at end of our trip. Would we return? Yes

Fantastic winter sun break
Pros:

My husband and I booked a 6 night stay at this hotel via Jet2 (14 - 20 feb). I always read all reviews before i chose my hotel so like to do a thorough review myself. Hope its helpful!
Check in: We arrived just before 9pm. Lady at reception was very friendly, and kindly suggested we leave our luggage and pop dining room to get some food before it shut. Once we did that we headed back to her and our keys etc were all ready. Great first impression.
Room: we had booked double room half board and paid bit extra for sea view. We were given key cards for room 706... and were delighted with it. Good bathroom with double sinks and large shower. Huge comfy seating area with tv and balcony off it with table and chairs, adjoining large bedroom with lots storage, large comfy bed (two single beds together), tv and another balcony with two sunbeds on. Also a fantastic view down to the beach. We loved it. The cleaners also all week were brilliant.
Location: hotel is just a very short walk from the promenade. There are steps down to beach but also if you turn right on the walkway there is a lift down. The beach is beautiful and can walk along to the sand dunes. There are lots of restaurants, cafes etc near hotel too. If you wish go elsewhere on island the bus stop is nearby too. (eg We had a day out and took bus to Puerto Rico and then ferry to Mogan).
Food and Drink: we went half board as planned eat out a few evenings. If we wanted we could have swapped our evening meal in hotel for lunch. But we found the food excellent so we would have breakfast there, go out for a walk and then have lunch in a cafe somewhere and then have dinner in hotel. Always plenty choice, different themes each night (chinese, mexican, italian etc). Also fresh cooking station and a bbq happening. So lots of options and never got bored. Drink service in bars was also good and staff friendly.
Facilities: two lovely pools .. one a 25m so good for "serious" swimming. Plenty sunbeds. Up on roof there another lovely sunbathing area with hot tubs. There is a also a separate nudist sunbathing area on roof but it very unobtrusive and not a problem.
The open air gym is in a lovely location on a terrace. Its well equipped with weights and cardio equipment. We didnt use it spa area so cant comment on that.
All in all we loved our stay. I guess the hotel and surrounding area gets much busier in Summer months which might make things not so enjoyable/relaxing.
But we would definitely return here again 🫶

Enjoyed our stay
Pros:

Enjoyable stay.
Hotel clean and tidy
Staff all friendly and helpful
Good selection of food at breakfast and dinner. Themed evening meals each night- Indian, Italian, Chinese etc BBQ three nights a week. Speciality table at breakfast one morning fresh orange juice, another smoothies, then pancakes and toasted sandwiches. Buffet was checked frequently and quickly replenished.
Evening entertainment fairly low key and ended by 11pm.
Hotel located about 100m from the promenade. However, access to the beach is via a long flight of steps or a lift a little further along the promenade. Bus stop 100m from the hotel, and the bus station about a 10 minute walk. Spar shop adjacent to the hotel.
The majority of the guests were German and Scandinavian and aged 50+

A great option for an adults only hotel with all inclusive option. Chillled and friendly. Great staff and super clean.
Pros:

This hotel is a great adults only hotel withan inclusive optional you have everything you need for a stress free trip. Extremely clean, pleasant helpful staff and a good location- the beach is a five minute walk away.

Three big pools, ample sun loungers and a secret Nandos Suites pool that only a few people even seemed to know about. The Nardos suites which we chose this time is an annexe next to the main pools and dining with 24 rooms- 15 of which have their own hot tubs which auto switch on at 10am to 10pm.

Drinks on the all inclusive - beer, wine, soft drinks etc. even a few cocktails.

The food in the dining room has a different theme every evening as well as always having the option to get a cooked to order steak, fish or meat. There is also pizza and chips.

There is fresh rotisserie chicken twice a week and a bbq twice a week.
The additional themed areas can be Italian with cooked to order pasta for example.

My favourite was on Monday - Chinese and Japanese evening, when the additional options were a cooked to order wok station and an authentic sushi chef.

Breakfast has extensive options including cooked to order eggs and omelettes.

Lunch buffet had loads of salads and cooked buffet items and cooked to order burgers and fish. Pizza and chips feature too.

Each evening there is entertainment geared at an older crowd. Live singers.

The 9th floor rooftop has jacuzzis, a naturist area, and a pool bar. It gets the sun all day.

The main clientele seems to be older German couples. Everyone was polite and seems to be getting on and doing their own thing.

The overall standard really is 4☆ the buffet breakfast and evening meal buffet is really fullsome and tasty the food choice is immense
Will be returning to this hotel
Sooner than later
There are two large heated outdoor pools which were great for me as im a committed swimmer
The room was great spacious the beds comfortable the large walk in shower was really great
Room serviced everyday room cleaned moped and towels changed daily
Good size balcony with 2 x retractable washing lines nice touch
There are lots of different staff nationalities but really all are good and professional
The TV channels are limited cnn
Gb news and a French news Chanel in English but this was not really an issue
Everything in the hotel is well maintained and works as it should

Another great stay, but minor issues...
Pros:

4th stay here and fantastic time as always... Big thanks to Lucy on reception, Aimar, Yessica, and all the bar staff for their hard work not forgetting Vassile
in the Restaurant . One gripe I have is that one evening I was in dress shorts for dinner (not a gala) and was told I should be wearing trousers.
Given we have been twice for winter holidays and twice for summer and not been advised on this before I was a bit miffed lol
Management should make this clearer if this only applies during certain days in the Winter Festive season.
Other than this we will be back in June and December 2026.

Inconsistent management
Pros:

Inconsistent management would be my summary. Staff work hard but it seems the management don’t have a handle on managing the staff and the customers.

The lobby bar has opened at differing times this week between 7pm snd 9pm. When the reception staff are challenged on this you get shrugged shoulders and excuses about staffing. When it opened at 9pm there was one table wait or and one bar member. Customers were having to wait for table service whilst there was a customer queueing at the bar. Really bad whilst the nightly show had started.

Don’t rate this hotel as 4 star more like 3+ therefore expensive for what it is.

Food is adequate with sufficient choice but not 4 star quality. Pizza and chips take up too much of the offering. There are too many tables in the restaurant making it canteen like.

The year end gala dinner was poor.

Location is great for promenade walking and close to town.

Rooms are clean and well attended.

Would we return…no.

Lovely hotel and staff.
Pros:

Lovely hotel with excellent facilities. The rooftop bar and jacuzzis were great with amazing sea views and sunset too. Only criticism is it’s so very cold there in the evenings and maybe blankets or gas heaters could be provided. All the staff throughout the hotel were excellent and especially Nolen the entertainment manager. Also Victor the poolside barman. Both were very attentive with excellent customer service skills. There could be improvement in the restaurant food and would be more relative to a 3 star not 4. Fab walks by sea a couple mins away. Buses very near too and would recommend going to both puerta del mogan and also Las Palmas.

Another fantastic and entertaining stay at HL Suitehotel
Pros:

I spent a week at the HL Suitehotel Playa del Ingles for the second year running and it did not disappoint! What a fantastic stay! The hotel facilities are excellent and myself, my partner and our friends made use of everything. Highlights included the pools, the gym and the spa, as well as the rooftop bar with stunning views across Maspalomas and cracking sunsets. The staff throughout were excellent and couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. However, the highlight of the trip was the Entertainment Manager Nolen whose brilliant smile and infectious energy had us partaking in a range of events throughout our stay. From Aqua Fit to Step Aerobics, and Aqua Dance to the Music Quiz, Nolen kept us entertained and coming back for more. Over the week we chatted lots and he is a truly lovely person - we hope he'll be there when we return next year!

Superb Stay Thanks To A Very Cheerful Ents Manager
Pros:

We’ve enjoyed an incredible stay. The hotel facilities are fantastic, multiple pools and sunbathing areas, good selection of food, very comfortable and clean room. The staff are first rate, conscientious, polite and attentive. The highlight of our trip however was the Entertainment Manager Nolen. Thanks to his encouragement and effervescent personality we took part in multiple classes including yoga, aqua gym, pilates, aqua fit, step aerobics, body balance and the music quiz. His enthusiasm, charisma and humour were infectious, he took time to chat to us between classes and we really appreciated his fun attitude and happy energy. He was the highlight of our stay at the hotel.

No hot food
Pros:

SUITES HOTEL PLAYA DEL INGLES.This is a beautiful hotel,it was our third time here, very clean, quiet, lovely staff all round the hotel, our only gripe was that the food was never hot, just warm,I had to leave my whole meal a couple of times because of this, just had a sweet, also too many chocolate sweets which I cannot eat,so we were very disappointed,I did tell the waiter when he asked if everything was okay, and the chef came out took some bits away and said they were warm. The food is such a big part of the holiday, they need to find another way to keep food hot,The pool area's were always immaculate never a problem getting a sunbed, the only hot food I had was an omelette in the morning from a very nice pleasant chef. The smaller of the two chefs.

Overall great placement and amazing if you enjoy a night out
Pros:

The experience was great, The breakfast left something to be desired, the bacon tended to be not cooked well enough. Nolen was great, he kept up activities throughout the week making sure there was always a fun activity to do if so you wouldn’t get bored. The hotel is placed perfectly. You have really close to the beach, a short trip from all the big shopping areas an active nightlife, bars, restaurants. Although most small shops have closed down since covid which would leave the place looking empty, abandoned and looking like an apocalypse movie during the day sometimes. But during the night, everything came alive, there were people, music and good vibes. I would recommend going out if you’re into that.

Good not great due to food
Pros:

Just completed a 6 day stay here. Overall we had a good stay.
The room was very clean and spacious. We paid for a sea view and yes we could see the sea, but i feel other rooms probably had a better sea view. We could see the sea and the commercial centre equally with a view of the dunes in the distance. We were near the lifts but didn't hear any noise from them. The air con was questionable, the lowest the room got to was 24.6°c according to the thermostat and never reached 20°c which we had set it to. There is a safe but there was a €3 a day charge, which despite being all inclusive, it wasn't!
Food wise, veggie/ vegans had better get used to salad, pasta and tomato sauce, pizza, and potatoes. There was also grilled vegetables, but no main course dish. Even the meat options became repetitive.
The labelling of the dishes was also incorrect and i was told by a chef to ignore them. Having seen cheese in a dish and it not having the milk sign/ allergens logo they say they use was worrying. A rice dish was also labelled as vegetable but contained ham.
The pool areas were good and we could always get a sunbed with parasol at any time of the day, even at the sunset roof terrace.
The roof terrace was great during the day and the hot tubs added an extra feature. Evenings were low key in the hotel and some nights, the service was great in the sunset bar and other times, it was poor.
Overall we would give 7/10, the hotel stay was good not great. We did find some amazing places to eat in the area so do recommend the location.
We used the spa the day we checked out. A great feature not being fully utilised by guests or the hotel. A couple of the features in the jet pool were not working, and only 1/3 showers worked. However the majority did work, and we had a lovely couple of hours in there. The heated beds were amazing.

Disappointing and oberpriced.
Pros:

I have to say, I was very disappointed with this Hotel overall. I have stayed in much better accommodation for a lot less money and I can’t help with feel like HL suites is very overpriced.

However there are some good things about the hotel and credit where is it due, the sunset rooftop bar and sunbathing is fantastic.

Rooms- I booked a standard double room, okay yes it is the budget option however I have stayed in standard double rooms in many different places and I found them to be of a much higher standard. Firstly the room is small. There is nowhere to sit apart from the balcony seating area or on the bed. No sofa or chairs in the room apart from a small desk chair.
The Beds in this type of room are also two singles pushed together which I find to be incredibly frustrating as someone who is used to a king size at home and in most hotels I stay in it is at least a double bed that you don’t fall down in the middle of if you roll over in the night. Also the quality of the mattresses leave a lot to be desired, mine is extremely hard. I am on my forth night here and I do not look forward to getting in the bed due to how makes my back feel the following day. I’m aware that this is a personal gripe to me and some people enjoy a hard mattress for me as has been extremely uncomfortable so far. Also, I find it incredible that in a hotel where I have spent €1200 for a week all inclusive. They found it acceptable to charge me a further €20 for the use of the in room safe to keep my possessions secure. This is ridiculous.

Food- I found the food to be of a lower than average standard, for us brits, Spanish all inclusive is rarely great, however HL Suites was particularly disappointing. Yes they have a different theme every night and the options are fairly varied however the only food that I have managed to survive on is the salad options which are numerous to be fair, and the Pizza.
Even the chips/fries are soggy and bland.

Pool- The pools are great. The hot tubs on the roof are fantastic.

Bars- The all inclusive options are great, you can have all the drinks you can get at home and bottles of water at any time to take to your room.

Staff- The staff were very friendly and welcoming especially Octavian at the desk. I did give the staff an oppertunity to listen to some of my issues and I enquired about a room upgrade but was told that was not possible. I will write I private e-Mail to the management requesting a partial refund re the poor food choices as for the next few nights I intend to eat out to get a proper evening meal, but I can’t imagine I’ll get anywhere.

To sum up, this hotel is a bit dated in places and I’m not honestly sure how it’s not a 3*. It’s saved by the rooftop terrace I think, however when I come back to PDI I will be looking for more value for my money and probably going elsehwere.

Birthday Treat
Pros:

Hotel is great ,quick and easy check in late arrival and the guy on reception said AI stops at 23.00 so if you want a drink go straight in and leave cases in left luggage. Room was lovely and a big balcony, cleaned daily. All areas of the hotel are spotlessly clean two great pools and no sunbed wars as able to get them anytime. Food was plentiful and varied with themed nights and a barbecue outside 3 nights per week. Fresh meat and fish cooked to order at lunch and dinner and omelettes pancakes and fried eggs for breakfast. Lots of branded drinks included. Pool bar was really nice as was the Sunset bar on the roof. Only downside was lobby bar only opened 21.00-23.00 when entertainment was on. Only saw one act was ok but nothing special. The staff were all very attentive and Victor in the pool bar was great fun too. All in all a great stay, highly recommended.
