Clean room, spacious.
Clean room and all the staff were very helpful
The Americana Village felt like a little oasis in busy South Lake Tahoe. The flowers were beautiful. Will definitely stay there again.
My 8-year-old randomly asked if we could go to Tahoe since she hadn’t been there since she was 4. I thought it was a great idea and decided to invite my mom too, since she enjoys visiting casinos. We made it a quick overnight trip.
I searched for clean, family-friendly hotels within my budget and came across The Americana. I’m so glad I did! The staff was very friendly, and the room was spotless just like the reviews had said.
Based on this experience, I’ll definitely be coming back. Big shoutout to the staff for making our stay so enjoyable!
Me and my wife had a great stay with our dog. The staff was very kind and the rooms looked great. The rooms didn't have AC, so we just opened the widow at the beginning of the night and closed it before bed.
I would avoid in the summer months.
Had my stay in the month of September. The staff was good and welcoming. The rooms were clean although the property looks little old which is not a concern here. The small kitchenette had all essential items. You can prepare your own food if you bring the groceries with you. Parking was available within the property for one car per room. Bread, Donuts, Egg and beverages were available in the breakfast which is part of the package which is fine. Popcorn anytime were good. The kids liked it. Overall, it was a good stay. I'll look forward for another stay next time. Keep it up.
Room was super clean, cute grounds, would book again. Only reason I didn’t give all excellent was there was only one parking spot per room so we had to park one car in a neighborhood.
Clean, convenient, cute. Great breakfast. Movie library and activities.
A 1950’s hotel that had been renovated.
Hotel has been well maintained. Excellent condition. Layout is similar to a small efficient apartment. You could stay there for a week. We were very impressed. Close to everything.
BTW walls are noise tight. Cannot hear your neighbor.
Close to everything.
What are you waiting for??!!
The sofa bed mattress (one of the inflatable ones) is smaller than the mattress frame, and so the head ends up slipping down and being much lower than the foot. My guests woke up with numb fingers because the blood was flowing to their heads. It may work for young children, but was woefully inadequate for adult guests.
We arrived just before midnight and realized our reservation was actually for the following day. The lady at the remote desk kindly found us a room so we could stay. The hotel is very clean, and they even offer free DVD rentals at the front desk.
My family has been staying at the Americana for decades. It's not just a hotel room. The grounds are lovely and so is the staff!!
Awesome and such a cute place
Friendly accommodating, clean,
All the flowers were a super nice touch. Watching distance to downtown south lake. Will stay here again
Warm atmosphere, cozy and charming place to stay. Staff was helpful, and welcoming. This felt like a family run establishment that was thoughtful about the needs of their guests. Very family friendly. Recommended!
I liked the room setup with kitchenette, living area and bedroom. The grounds were well cared for with flower beds, lush green lawn and pine trees. Pool area was inviting. Popcorn machine in lobby was fun for the kids. Staff at front desk and in breakfast room were friendly and polite.
While they were friendly, the front desk was very disorganized and unprofessional. Wrong room, only after consulting with management were they able to move us to the type of room we had reserved and paid for in advance. No apologies for inconvenience and acted as though we should be grateful. (It's not an upgrade if you've paid for it.)
Maintenance and cleaning staff were active and pleasant - best part of the organization.
But in the late night, a maintenance worker had been dispatched to our room. He didn't announce who he was before attempting to open our door. Scary!
When I called to ensure that it wasn't just a stranger who tried to enter our room, I was told the fellow had been sent to a room a few doors down. Again, no responsibility for the misstep.
We booked this spot last minute and it ended up being so cute! It wasn't anything fancy but it was clean, nice staff and the property grounds were kept SO nice by the Gardner. We we obsessed with all of the flowers on the property. The only suggestion I have is getting AC units as it was pretty warm at night and fans could only help so much. Would stay again!
Love staying here
