Always lovely.
The cabins are beautiful convenient clean the only annoying thing and it’s not their fault it just they happen to be next to the train track even though they give you earplugs it still pretty annoying, but we would stay again
Beautiful location!!!
Facilities are old and very worn.
The room rates are outrageous !!!!!!
Good place for couple days
We booked the Castle Mountain suite w private spa & balcony for 4 nights. The staff were lovely: recommended places to see in the area & provided a well stocked shop for groceries, though our suite was only serviced twice. The rooms had a homely feel with room for our 3 cases. The living & bathroom were clean though a little dated. I was disappointed we couldn’t see Castle Mountain from our balcony, especially when the suite next door could - both were the same price. However the grounds were natural & peaceful, with lovely picnic tables with a full view of the exceptional scenery, including the mountain! The large community deck was also lovely to sit back & watch the sunset from. Overall we would stay there again but perhaps book an individual cabin, since they weren’t as pricey as the suite. The area is fantastic - close to the top lakes, mountains & canyons of Banff NP. You’ll need a car!
Absolutely unforgettable, peaceful, and enjoyable stay. We loved it! Staff were so friendly and helpful too. So helpful to have gas and a market readily available. Would come back again! Sometimes you do hear a train passing by and tooting their horn, but I think it just adds to the charm of the place. We weren’t bothered by it at all.
Cozy and comfortable.
Clean chalets. Staff super friendly and helpful. Easy communication with the staff and housekeeping. Large parking spot directly in front of the chalet we stayed at. Rec room with ping pong, football, etc. and laundry on location. We look forward to a third year at Castle Mountain Chalets. Thank you for being so welcoming!
This place was beautiful and very clean, quit and relaxing, with an incredible view of Castle Mountain I however Checked in late and scared the Staff by accident😳 and do apologize, as he probably thought i was a bear or something😅.
Very kind knowledgeable staff and convenient store and gas out front, amazing place and a great experience ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Nice quiet, clean property out of the way of the hustle & bustle.
We loved our knotty pine cabin. The grounds were wonderful, beautiful. The staff was kind, helpful, accommodating. The kitchen was incredibly well supplied. The craftsmanship of the cabin was remarkable. All made for a very comfortable stay: the store, the parking, the grounds, the amenities. And what a beautiful spot!
Great place. Only issue was loud nightly trains.
The cedar cabin we stayed in was old, small and congested. It didn't have much ventilation, luckily we had our own fan that we used in the night. Surprisingly it didn't have any restaurant so we had to drive 25 minutes from one side to banff town to get some food.
I will not be going to stay in the cedar cabin again.
Loved our stay at Castle Mountain Chalets. So convenient to get to Lake Louise and Lake Moraine. Loved the game room. My family used it every night we were there. Can’t wait to come back again
Charming
We stayed there for five nights. Everything is as advertised. Kitchen, bedroom, fireplace, full sized fridge. Comfortable, very convenient. Nice to have the store (beer) and gas on site. Staff were great. I would definitely stay again!
The place is right next to train tracks. That was known up front and they do provide ear plugs. However, the trains operate many times during the night. Even with the earplugs we woke up daily around 4 am and were kept up by trains every half hour or hour afterwards…. For my wife, that was a dealbreaker. I didn’t enjoy it, but given the proximity to the parks compared to Banff town, I was very happy we stayed in Castle Mountain and I would do it again!
lodge was dated but clean, the noise from the train and road was not great
Great location and wonderful individual cabins.
