I like the IHG hotels, good standard and you know what to expect, didn’t disappoint
Staff were nice and rooms were pretty clean and spacious. Housekeeping were really sweet and we weren't expecting them to come after the first night so that was a pleasure surprise. Breakfast had decent vegan options.
The beds are hard as rock and the pillows are really firm and pretty flat. Mostly we were looking for a comfortable room to use as a base because we were only really sleeping there and out all day/evening so in that regard, it was really disappointing how uncomfortable the bed was. My partner and I both were tossing and turning and have gone home with sore backs. We're in our early thirties and fine with medium firm mattresses, but these remind me more of camping on the frozen ground with just a roll mat. I also don't know if we were in an accessible room or something but instead of shower, we had a wet room and personal preference, I'd rather have a shower cubicle because I get cold easily and I find showing in wet room, the steam doesn't make the air around you as warm as when you're in a shower cubicle because it has to fill the entire room
