We were upgraded on check in and our room was superb. The view of the garden, river, Salisbury Cathedral and Giraffe was lovely.
It would have been wonderful to have dined there in the evening, but we had a courtesy vehicle to Market Square where we found a very nice restaurant, followed by the driver returning to pick us up to take us back to the hotel. Excellent service.

Great location by the river, quiet and good parking. They have a chauffeur service to drive you back from town after dinner - useful as it is 20mn walk
Room is too dark, and under-furnished, almost spartan. Reception staff not particularly helpful.
