This hotel is so comfortable to stay in when you are in downtown Jerusalem. It is opposite the central bus station & light rail. You can travel quickly to the Old City or to Mt Herzl The front desk staff are so helpful. I loved that Maria looked after me so well during the week I stayed there …..nothing was too much trouble for Maria to help me with …the breakfast manager & team are so helpful too …food is good
mary at the front desk will help you with anything and everything. she is soo kind and friendly
I generally stay in hotels closer to the city center, Baka, or other neighborhoods, and never by the entrance to the city. However, I saw a listing for Jerusalem Gold and the price was right, and the reviews were very good. After this stay, I will very likely stay here again. It truly met all my needs. Each member of the staff, from the desk clerks to the cleaning staff, are beyond friendly and helpful. My room was spotless and comfortable. The breakfast was great. WiFi was flawless. Mary at the desk was particularly hospitable (though everyone was truly great). You can walk to areas like Machaneh Yehuda or Ben Yehuda or take a bus/light rail to any part of the city. You are literally next to the train and central bus stations, so you can easily go anywhere else in Israel, including the airport without having to drag your suitcases around the city. It was no more noisy than any other hotel in the city and I faced the Jaffa Road where all the traffic is. Totally successful stay at this hotel.
Was nice and simple
I recently spent 7 nights at the Jerusalem Gold hotel. My thoughts were that it was/is conveniently located especially for myself as I caught I train from the airport. Friendly customer service and overall very well presented inside and out.
Excellent hotel , great staff, great location!
One remarkable comment - the politeness and friendliness of the hotel staff, both before arrival and during check-in / check out process.
Other than that - pretty average. Minimal room amenities, poor quality and selection breakfast, hardly available parking, poor hotel location
The hotel was very conveniently located by the train and bus and lightrail. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and the foid was fresh. I would stay again when visiting Jerusalem.
The staff is excellent and friendly, Mary and Samjah are very helpful and friendly.
This is the great hotel, located only steps from the rail and bus stations in Jerusalem. Maria at front desk is extremely nice and friendly, the same as the owner Ariella.
The hotel is very clean with a big rooms and big bathrooms, having everything you need. The breakfast buffet is excellent. The view from my room' window was amazing!
It was very pleasant stay, I booked this hotel when just arrived and made another booking before departure. I am going to be back and recommend this hotel to everybody who is looking for the place to stay in Jerusalem.
I would have liked to give it a 5 star rating but there was no water in the hotel room and we had to get some on our own.
Perfect location in Jerusalem. Right across the street from the central train station making it easy to catch a train to the airport. They serve an excellent morning breakfast in a huge dining room on the lower level and it's very quiet at night. The tram stop to take you to the old city is right across the street. I had the pleasure of meeting the entire concierge staff at the front desk and they were absolutely gracious, knowledgeable and helpful. Thank you to all.
Noisy room.
Exept that the room is very comfortable, good location, wide parking, looks clean
Excellent value and excellent location. Mary at the front desk and the others were very pleasant and helpful.
Weary-worn from travels from the U.S., with stop-overs in Europe, we arrived at Tel Aviv Ben Gurion airport roughly at midnight only to discover our large, checked suitcases had not arrived with us.
After a couple of hours to process paperwork, we hailed a cab to our Tel Aviv guest lodge (with no night staff) supposedly near the airport only not to be able to get in, and the phone number given to us for help, would not pick up.
What ensued was a return cab ride to the airport where we sat up and dozed until later in the morning.
Alerting Jerusalem Gold that we would arrive earlier than expected, we were welcomed by Mary (Maria) at the front desk with coffee and a warm welcome and seated in the lobby until we could check in.
The next day, when we returned to the hotel after a day out, Maria had hand-carried our luggage – delivered by the airline company, to our room and had left a nice note.
She was a breath of fresh air, and this friendly hotel, with great breakfasts, was a respite for two senior citizens who came from a different nation and a different faith during Passover.
It was a great joy to be there, and we are thankful we chose it. It is also well-located, across the street from Central Station which has a direct connection to the train that serves the airport, too, and right next to Jerusalem’s light rail and bus station.
This was my first and last time staying at the Jerusalem gold hotel. This property is outdated. There are no USB chargers in any of the rooms. The hotel doesn’t have any wall adapters available. No place to buy a wall adapter nearby. Do not recommend.
Nice and clean. Very helpful personnel. Any problems were taken care of immediately. Very good Wi-Fi signal, the network is an open type, as in many other hotels. So, the use of VPN is recommended. The heater works well. Close to the bus station, but not noisy. Safe box and fridge, full bathroom, wardrobe, luggage rack. Lots of sitting space, coffee table, couch. Not much usable surface in the bathroom.
The breakfast buffet has ample choice of food. The juices were a bit watered down, coffee is strong. No unusual smells and quiet. Lots of light.
The staff was very helpful and concerned with our comfort.
Najla at the front desk was very nice and helpful. The hotel is old but in pretty good condition considering the age. The rooms are pretty small.
Clean and comfortable. Good location, close to public transportation and highways
