A safe place with a comfortable bed
Cons:

System down, took multiple staff hours to sign in after going paper first. Could have comped a little something for 45 min wait in lobby

Tired. Worn. Not particularly nice.
Pros:

Overall the hotel is far more dated and worn than the other SpringHill Suites I have stayed at.

For example, the caulk around the bathtub needs to be replaced. The desk chair was broken.

Did not meet expectations.

Good hotel brand was disappointing
Pros:

This is not typical SpringHill Suites. The bedroom is small, just beds and a night table. Tiny closet. Living area is poorly lit. Desk lamp had a burned out single bulb, with no replacement available at the front desk, no maintenance staff on duty and desk clerk unaware of where bulbs are stored and not willing to find one in an unoccupied room. That left the desk area quite dark. AC did not cool the room adequately. The cover for the AC control panel fell off. Breakfast had fewer selections than other SpringHill properties.

On the plus side, the shuttle service was excellent and the hallways were very well lit. And the fridge was cold on arrival.

Not pleasant in any way
Pros:

Started with calling the hotel for a shuttle pickup they wanted my name address confirmation number and the address of the hotel that I was going to so I had to stop and look all that up then they played like they couldn't find it and I asked for the manager in the miraculously found my reservation. The shuttle is marked Best Western because they share it with the hotel next door, but you have no way of knowing that it is for SpringHill Suites. Got to the hotel long wait they were taking several phone calls this more important that people at the desk. My profile says hi floor away from the elevator. I got put in a room right next to the elevator. When you pull in, the place is locked down like Fort Knox. The place is just unappealing and feels cheap, old, and dirty. The front door is locked down it does not feel safe here. I'm not sure how they keep the Marriott name attached to this one.

Recommend you stay at a different hotel.
Pros:

My family and I just checked in tonight. My mom booked this place through booking.com after we looked at 4 different hotels. When we came in, the front doors were locked and we thought it was normal because it was after 10pm, but when we were checking in, the girl at the front desk said their doors are locked 24/7 - which then makes me question how safe is their location if they have to do that, even in the daytime. We booked 2 rooms because we had 12 people (5 kids and 7 adults, with one adult being a 96 yo) - one room with a king size bed and a sofa bed with trundle and one room with 2 queens and a sofa bed and a trundle. My mom asked if we could have rooms close to each other, even if they aren't next to each other and mentioned that she even requested that while she was booking. She understood that it wasn't guaranteed, but the girl said we are actually on different floors. She ended up putting us diagonally across the hall from each other. When my husband, kids and I came into the room, we thought we had gotten the king bed with sofa/trundle so we settled in. The room was cute - it wasn't just a square or rectangle. There were different angles which made it look cuter. As I was preparing the sofa bed for the kids, I found an open trojan condom under the cushions. My mom, aunt, uncle, cousin and grandma walked in to the same exact room as ours: a king size bed with a sofa bed and trundle. So my mom went downstairs because they were not going to fit there. The girl said that she cannot change her room because she booked from a third party. So my mom said "how much is it to upgrade?" and the girl said that we cannot upgrade because she booked from a third party. My mom and I are so incredibly disappointed with the room and service here. We only ever go to hotels in California and this has never happened before so I don't know if this kind of service is a norm here in Oregon. We've always been able to upgrade and when we've requested suites next to each other, we got suites that had an adjacent door. The good thing is, we're only here for one night, but if you're going to be staying longer, I would recommend just going to a different hotel.
