Good - apart from the noisy generator
Pros:

Visited to attend a show at the university guild. The location on Hope Street is very handy for the university and having walked by the hotel a few times when visiting in the past, decided to stay here for a change.

There is a lot to like. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The staff, without exception, were all fantastic. The breakfast was good.

The issue was noise. This is a city centre hotel and some noise from the street is to be expected. I was pleased to be told on check-in that we had been upgraded and our room faced into an internal courtyard (above the spa) rather than on the road. When we left in the evening there was a background humming noise that was masked by daytime noise. Unfortunately when trying to sleep later, the noise was too loud to sleep. A member of staff came to investigate and told us it was a generator. We were moved to another room, but this was nearly midnight and so was disruptive.

Lovely hotel
Pros:

Great location, comfy beds, modern design and friendly staff. Higher standard room rate than lots of other options, but we managed to time it right and got a really good deal. A fantastic place to stay.

Room & spa were lovely
Pros:

The hotel itself is gorgeous as is the spa, but something in the walls of my room was very noisy (pipes or hot water or something) so I didnt sleep! Everything else was good though, if I could guarantee I'd get a quieter room then I would certainly return.

Just the right kind of hotel for our trip.
Pros:

Room clean and just the right temperature. Bed very comfy. Nice to have decent bath., it matters. Some nice touches. Exactly the right place for the Everyman and the philharmonic.

Great place to stay after Philharmonic concert.
Pros:

Another lovely night at this hotel. Decided to stay instead of heading home after a concert at The Philharmonic. Really nice rooms, comfortable bed and in the morning, a breakfast to die for. The staff throughout this hotel are exemplary. We will most definitely be back.
