I was extremely disappointed with my stay at Castello di Velona.
For a property that positions itself as a luxury destination, the overall standard of service and maintenance fell far below expectations.
The room was not properly cleaned on arrival and housekeeping throughout the stay was inconsistent and disappointing.
The service levels were particularly poor.
There was little to no meaningful introduction to the hotel's amenities, facilities, or guest services, leaving us to figure things out ourselves. Staff appeared disengaged, and there was a noticeable lack of attention to guest experience.
Maintenance standards were also lacking, with several aspects of the property showing signs of neglect.
Overall, there seemed to be a significant disconnect between the premium rates charged and the quality of service delivered.
Unfortunately, the combination of poor housekeeping, inadequate guest service, weak maintenance standards, and a general lack of hospitality made this a very disappointing experience.
I would not recommend Castello di Velona based on our stay. Erica Carstens (South Africa)

Ho scelto il Castello di Velona basandomi sulle recensioni e sulle foto, e devo dire che le aspettative sono state ampiamente superate! La camera era spaziosa, arredata in perfetto stile classico toscano e vantava una vista magnifica.
Il fiore all’occhiello è stata la SPA termale: impeccabile e rigenerante. Nonostante le temperature esterne, il calore dell’acqua ci ha permesso di godere di un tramonto indimenticabile. Un’esperienza eccellente anche al ristorante Settimo Senso, dove abbiamo gustato un’ottima carne frollata accompagnata dal loro Brunello di produzione propria, davvero squisito.
Lo staff, sempre gentile e disponibile, ha reso il soggiorno unico. Che dire... abbiamo trovato la nostra 'casa' tra le colline di Montalcino. Super consigliato!"

È la seconda volta in 1 mese che torno al Castello di Velona! Come per la prima volta tutto perfetto...SPA organizzata e pulita e Alessandro e Gloria magnifici!! Al check-in ci hanno fatto un upgrade di camera, dandoci quella con il giardino privato....magnifico!!! Abbiamo optato per una grigliata con carne frollata...tutto buonissimo! Staff sempre molto premuroso ed attento!! Speriamo di tornare presto!!

Ho soggiornato con amici al Castello di Velona, un vero castello dell'XI secolo, con un viste mozzafiato a 360 gradi sulle colline della Val d'Orcia e sui vigneti di Brunello, per passare un weeke end all insegna del vino, cibo e provare la SPA con 4 piscine ad acqua termale!l.
Camere ampie e pulite con una vista magnifica al tramonto sui vigneti.
Posto top, con staff super cortese e alta qualità dei servizi. La SPA ampia sia nella parte umida che le piscine esterne, tutto in travertino pulita e tenuta benissimo. Abbiamo mamgiato benissimo provando i 2 ristoranti. Il Settimo Senso ha un tramonto ed una vista incredibili. Abbiamo anche fatto una degustazione del loro olio di oliva e Brunello, veramente buono (abbiamo comprato 4 bottiglie di annate diverse insieme al loro Olio di Oliva biologico!), preceduta da una passeggiata nei loro vigneti dove Fabiola ci ha raccontato tutto sull azienda e sul Brunello. Sicuramente è un posto in cui ritorneremo dove il relax della SPA con termale e la qualità dei servizi hanno fatto la differenza rispetto a tante altre strutture di pari livello in Toscana!

Il soggiorno al Castello di Velona è iniziato nel migliore dei modi, con un arrivo e un ricevimento impeccabili: staff cortese, attento e molto professionale, capace di far sentire accolti fin dal primo momento.

La nostra junior suite ha rispecchiato pienamente quanto visto sul sito e nel virtual tour, che avevamo trovato molto utile prima della partenza. Ritrovare dal vivo gli ambienti e l’atmosfera visti online è stato bellissimo. Una sistemazione curata, accogliente e con il fascino di un elegante appartamentino, perfetta per un weekend di relax.

Ottima anche l’esperienza gastronomica: abbiamo mangiato davvero benissimo, apprezzando qualità, cura e valorizzazione del territorio. Una menzione speciale al Settimo Senso, che unisce una vista straordinaria a un’atmosfera raffinata.

Piacevole anche la degustazione del loro olio d’oliva, ben organizzata e perfettamente in linea con l’identità della tenuta.

La spa è stata uno dei punti di forza del soggiorno: ampia, elegante e tenuta in modo impeccabile, sia nella parte umida sia nelle piscine termali esterne. Il travertino, la pulizia e la qualità degli spazi rendono l’esperienza davvero speciale.

Nel complesso, Castello di Velona si distingue per accoglienza, comfort, benessere e ottima cucina. Un luogo dove la qualità dei servizi fa davvero la differenza e in cui torneremo molto volentieri.

E' stata una bellissima esperienza in un luogo magnifico, location spettacolare residenza storica curata nei minimi dettagli di confort e di bellezza. Staff molto gentile e sempre disponibile.
Abbiamo cenato in hotel piatti deliziosi e curati nella preparazione e nel gusto ottima qualità.
Colazione altrettanto curata, varia ed abbondante molto piacevole la disposizione e le proposte.
Soggiorno perfetto!!! da ripetere molto piacevolmente!!!!
