Zentral gelegenes Hotel mit gutem Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis
Pros:

Einfach eingerichtet, aber alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Neue Badezimmer. Alles sehr sauber.

Awesome, friendly hotel in a very beautiful city
Pros:

Right in the center of town, close to the train station and not too big.

The staff is extraordinarily friendly, helpful and endured my broken attempt at trying to speak Italian with grace. They were very adapt at switching to English at the end of my latin.

My room was good, right sized and clean. I was alone, one could sleep with two, but staying for more than 30 minutes with two in the room would quickly feel cramped. The hotel room is good, but should not be your destination in Lugano.

Breakfast is good, large room, great selection and again friendly staff.

The tourism tax is put to good use as you get a free public transportation pass for the city and if I understand correctly the Ticino region.

Cons:

I think it's an Italian thing but the room was very hot when I arrived (other venues as well), so I opened the windows. You can hear the funicular very well then, but it didn't bother me. With windows closed you can hear it, but it's a perk that's beneficial more than a nuisance.

The pillow was so fluffy I needed both pillows to have some headrest. I like sturdy pillows so your mileage may vary. The bed was comfortable though.

The corner room I got had a very small desk, so if you're unfortunate enough to have to work instead of walking through the beautiful town, that can be challenging and going to the entrance area or a cafe may be a better place

Levert niet wat de prijs doet vermoeden.
Pros:

De plek, met funniculaire naar beneden vanaf het station.

Cons:

De faciliteiten. Het is eerder een motel dan een hotel. Erg gehorig. De muren lijken van bordkarton. Het onderste deel van het bed was groter dan het bovenste deel.

Das erste Mal ist mir das in einem Hotel passiert.
Ein sehr kaltes Frühstück bei Minustemperaturen finde ich ein Missverständnis.
Es wurden eiskalte gekochte Eier sowie Wurstwaren und Käse (die waren noch in Ordnung) und gefrorenes Obst, z. B. Kiwis, serviert, die man nicht einmal auch mit einem Messer schneiden konnte !
Nur Getränke wie Kaffee und Tee waren heiß.

Die blonde Dame mit dem frustrierten Gesichtsausdruck an der Rezeption ignorierte
mich völlig
und antwortete nicht einmal auf meine Begrüßung.
Ich weiß nicht, ob dies rassistische oder andere Gründe hatte.
Ich bin eine höfliche und ruhige Person und habe mich an die Hotelregeln gehalten,
daher verstehe ich diese Behandlung nicht.
