Breakfast was pretty good to be honest for the extra charge
Evening arrival after the hottest day of the year thus far (and we are talking only APRIL) !! A little wait to check in. Booking preferences Double Bed, given Twin room. Room was crazy hot and fan/air con did not respond to controls. Returned to Reception with issue about aircon. Told the hotel had problems through out and no maintainance staff present. They had a list of rooms with actual temperatures manually recorded and gave us the coolest room they had (again twin room). Fan did work but no cold air, just recirculating room air. Staff member tried to explain issue … which to my mind was over complicated. Bottom line; engineers need to throw switch on change of seasons. WINTER has heat only from system, SUMMER has aircon only !! Hence the problem at change over of seasons. Room windows do not open. So … a rather warm stuffy nights sleep. Not great. Issue with TV, BBC 1 HD had zero sound, other HD channels fine. Room Safe was locked closed … unable to reset code. Door safety lock broken/ unusable.
