Solo trip for work
Pros:

The staff were wonderfully accommodating. I'd spent the day at a conference and during the event my purse went missing. Turned up to the hotel looking like a drowned rat and having a slight meltdown having had my anxiety triggered. The guy who was manning the reception did an excellent job of calming me down and ensuring I was still able to cover the fee for the room so I wasn't stuck in Manchester on my own for the night. He even spoke to the restaurant for me so we could find an alternative way for me to pay for my meal so I could still eat. He went above and beyond and even checked in on me later on to make sure I was still okay.

The room itself was great. The bed was huge and I liked the smart TV with all the streaming apps.

Cons:

I would have liked to have had a bath in the room rather than a shower but that's just personal preference it didn't ruin the night

Short car-less stay in Manchester
Pros:

Very convenient for the tram, helpful friendly staff. The deal I got breakfast was included which was nice.

Cons:

Surroundings not very scenic - but that's the price for good transport connections, so I can't really complain 🙂

Great value for money, great staff. Perfect for a sleep after an event or gig.
Pros:

Large room, well cleaned but in need of a reno, you can’t clean age.

Bedding and towels were fresh and cleaned. Pillows were small and too firm but that’s a personal opinion.

Staff were lovely and welcoming. Having a bar available is a plus. Parking is very reasonably priced for Salford.

Cons:

Full English breakfast wasn’t great. Cheapest ingredients, sausages were almost crumby or powdery, hard to describe, not meaty for sure. No sauce.

Coffee machine was good. Toast and pastries were good.

Value for money and lovely building.
Pros:

Great staff and the building is beautiful even thought it’s under renovation. Such a lovely building especially the staircase.

Cons:

It was cold and there was no heating on in the bedrooms. I think in March you should still have heating on or access to warmer blankets.

Overall pretty good. We would be happy enough to stay again.
Pros:

The room was large and the bed very large and comfortable. We were upgraded to a superior room with no extra cost. Breakfast was excellent all you could want full English. The location is very handy with the metrolink station 100 yards away. The staff were friendly and the bar is also quite nice. Car parking very reasonable at just £5 for 24 hours.

Cons:

The bathroom cleanliness could have been a little better and a couple of extra pillows would have been nice. The view out of the window was awful. A bit of decorating around the place also certainly needs doing.

Pros:

Really accessible location and comfortable rooms despite being in a busy area. Staff are so welcoming.

Cons:

There was construction work happening in the hotel, but this started from 11 am, which is thoughtful and considerate to the guests.

Pros:

It was so nice stay and breakfast was good.
I used to lived in the area many years ago and it was a perfect idea to stay in this hotel. It is away from the centre but with the tram you can be in 10 min at Deansgate.
