The room was great and the bathroom exceeded expectations. There was a walk-in shower - no more climbing over a bathtub. Check-in was easy. The extra pet expense was a one-time fee and not a per pet fee.
The parking lot was small. The overflow parking was just a block away which, while a bit inconvenient, was a nice walk up the main street.
Parking had to rely on my friends at the Legion
Wonderful location to walking shopping and pubs! Have stayed many a time while in Orillia and love it.
Clean, easy to get to friendly staff.
Very friendly staff at the reception and Very clean room 👌
They upgraded my room from basement to 2 floor,
Nice lobby, great location.
I didn’t love being in the basement. There also seemed to be some discolouring in the shower. Not sure exactly what it was.
Parking was limited and overflow parking was about a block away.
My wife and I stayed here for a weekend in March, 2025. Expect a very basic hotel, with fairly bare amenities. Staff were friendly and helpful, but watch out which room(s) you get. Rooms on the ground floor (we were in 130) were very loud; some guests were shouting outside on the street, then in the lobby, and in the hallway, throughout the night. Guests getting ice and coughing in the hallway, as well as loud music from the bar next door made for 2 rather sleepless nights. The breakfast is functional but very minimal, as is the gym. Rooms are pretty tiny as well. Ultimately you get what you pay for, the price was right for us... but the conditions made our room very noisy.
Everything was as expected or better.
Beautiful rooms. Generous complimentary breakfast. Amazing location. Super clean.
Oddly, there was no heat in any of the bathrooms. Weekends can have limited parking.
- Location is downtown, so obviously close to several restaurants and stores.
- The place was clean
- at the reception , people were polite as expected
- Cheap materials everywhere
- the key had to be reprogrammed 3 times even if no stored close to electronics. I could her people in the corridor having the same issue. So I had to go upstairs, verify key didn’t work, going downstairs to have it re- programmed, go upstairs again; this 3 times.
parking was a nightmare - very small parking area, people had difficulties getting in and out. When full, you had to get a pass for another parking at walking distance.
- Coldish room - the air conditioner didn’t seem working properly
- sheets were synthetic and so sparkling when sleeping.
- it was cold in the elevator - it seemed to be almost outside.
- Water was barely warm; couldn’t take a satisfying shower
- Old and noisy air conditioner - in addition, being the room small and the air conditioner at waist level, at night you would get blown air.
- Minimal space
- Overpriced - because of all these issues, I can’t say it was worth the cost.
- Tv only, no channels
- No microwave in the room
- Windows would stay closed at all times for privacy because of where they were located
- Downstairs, there was no hot water in breakfast area.
- Breakfast was very poor and sugary products. Area to have breakfast looked like camping as there were many people for winter games.
Location was great for us. We did not have the breakfast but went to the attached pub because of the Canada/US Olympic hockey game but would've enjoyed the breakfast otherwise.
Everything was great. Nothing negative to say about this hotel.
Was in the basement in gross room
Not being in a basement I almost hurt myself getting into my room
The location, close to the waterfront front was nice.
We froze in our room, likely because our room was in the basement, however, the whole hotel was cold. The hotel and room was not clean.
There was no onsite parking and nowhere to temporarily park to check in and drop off luggage. The breakfast was stale and tasted like bananas.
Nathaniel, the front desk clerk, was super helpful and friendly
