We hadn’t visited for over a year and normally stayed in the newer East Tower. We need a fully accessible room and Room 523 in the West Tower was exceptional. Very clean, roomy and beautifully decorated. Definitely a resort vibe and every employee was very accommodating. We needed an extra blanket and a little help streaming to the TV. Awesome response both times. Casino has lots of new machines and are constantly cleaned by staff. Very good food at Rise, but there were many other choices for food. Definitely miss the Asian food at the food court, which was removed and now is a gaming area. Valet was also a very good experience as well. Prompt and helpful but if you want there are plenty of free parking options.
The pool area and Sugar Factory Restaurant.
The carpet in the hallway on the 5th floor smelled like dog urine.
The pool side servers
Kids.. just felt like for the price when waiting by the pool for room my luggage should have been in room when called and said room was ready. Also my call light was on for service clean towels trash ect.. no one came I had to call front desk for towels and another time track the maid down for towels. I’m just a firm believer you pay for what you get. 600 plus$ a night those are things I would expect.
Restaurants and shops
The hotel room. They were doing construction. Installing flooring on the next level.
Got robbed in my room. It's an inside job that made for the people at work here. So close to $4000 out of my safe while I was at the pool, having lunch, I did a little bit more gambling. When I went upstairs to say was open in my room and all my money was gone.
Play slots here if you want to experience a 0% payback losing 100 dollars a minute. All you get are dead spins.

Hard Rock Cace was excellent. Room and staff also excellent.
Walking into the smoke from the casino. Didn't realize it was front and center.
We are local to the Tampa Bay area have been visiting the HR Tampa frequently for the last 10-15 years. Hotel is nice and clean. Casino floors are always busy and crowded giving the casino space a lot of action and excitement. That's the plus. But unfortunately, it kind of ends there. The Comps starting last year have been beyond horrible. Comped room? maybe not. I am always told it's sold out. But when I checked for paid rooms, it's always available. Comps for food? they give as little as possible. I get $50 food comps and $100 free play, when I bet a minimum of $1,000 to $5,000 a hand. The amount of money I tip the dealers and waitresses is more than what the casino comps me in food. It's ridiculous. I have a $50k front money account here for comparison. Which casino gives you $100 free play when you bet $1000-$5000 per hand? That's not even a fraction of my smallest, minimum bet. If you come here and you can't get comps or free plays, don't worry, you're not alone. They are nickel and diming people so they can bankroll their new Las Vegas building. It sucks for everyone here because I know most of the local players here that's been playing for the last 20 years and everyone said the same.
I understand and accept that it’s a smoking environment because it’s a casino that’s expected. However, the strong smell of marijuana throughout the property was overwhelming and honestly unpleasant. It took away from the atmosphere and made parts of the visit uncomfortable. I think there should be better control over that to maintain a more enjoyable environment for guests.

This is such a fun and exciting place. I loved going there. I was getting comp rooms for over 5 years (and I did spend a good deal of money, but not a high roller). Then boom - all of a sudden comp rooms were cut off and now they want to charge me $400 a night! I can understand maybe my qualifications for comp rooms ended, but to charge that much to a player who has been going there for over 20 years is absolutely ridiculous! No sense in calling because they see the same things you see in your account. I wish someone would clarify the huge change!
Nice pool area busy which I like
Beds to small & uncomfortable
