We enjoyed a two-night stay in the tree house room at SASA Harmanlık Hotel. The room boasted ample space and offered breathtaking views. However, our experience with the hotel management was less than satisfactory. Here's a rundown of our experience at SASA:

Prior to check-in:
- Despite the agreement for payment upon arrival, an unauthorized attempt was made to charge my registered credit card beforehand. This occurred well in advance of the designated check-in time.

During check-in:
- When requesting to pay in Euro (€), we were informed that the hotel does not operate as an exchange office and were charged at a less favorable rate than the prevailing market rate. It's worth noting that while I don't expect the hotel to function as an exchange office, I do expect fair currency exchange practices.

Throughout our stay:
- On the second day, we returned to find our room uncleaned despite displaying a request for housekeeping. We chose not to report this due to our previous check-in experience.
- The hot water supply was inadequate, fluctuating between hot and cold after the first 10 minutes. This made it challenging for two people to shower comfortably.

Check-out:
- Surprisingly, the smoothest part of our stay was the check-out process, simply because it marked the end of our stay.
⁃ We were meant to be charged for cappuccino we grabbed at the breakfast, since they didn’t have any change, it was on the house. Thanks for it.

Although the location is beautiful, the treatment, reception, services and smile are non-existent. They do not know or appreciate smells and do not speak English.

Very nice restaurant overlooking the lake
Amazing breakfast from the country side
Very friendly staff, few can speak good English.
No swimming pools and very small beach not nice for swimming.
No safety box in the room and no fly screen for windows.
The surrounding areas have beautiful nature, lakes, water falls and Forrests.
No organized tours in Sapanca.
A car is recommended to explore the area.
Transportation from Istanbul by bus cost TL 150 per person and takes 2 hours to arrive.
I am sure I’ll visit this nice hotel again.

It’s not bad

kafa dinlemelik bir yer değil arkasindan tren yolu geciyor. ancak hijyen konfor, manzara , kahvalti gayet guzel .ancak gurultu fazla var,inziva yeri degil.

Great view, cozy and perfect for a getaway far from city noise

Otelin yeri konumu ve tasarimi harika fakat otel misafirlerine gerekli onem verilmiyor. Odamiza ciktigimizda odada sigara icilmis ve sehpaya dokulen kulleri temizlenmemisti. Otelin sadece otel misafirlerine ayrilan lounge kisminda kapali ortamda baska otel misafirlerinden birinin sigara icmesine izin verdiler. Ertesi gun kahvaltida sosyal mesafeye uygun olmayacak sekilde gunubirlik gelen arap misafirlerini memnun etmek icin mevcut misafirlerle yanyana dip dibe oturttular. Biz de korkup baska bir yere gecmek zorunda kaldik. Genel anlamda tesis cok guzel olsa da isletmede problemler var, bunu bilerek gidin.

The hotel was exceptionally great from the time we arrived. Hospitality was great. The room was better than I imagined with a breathtaking view. We had all meals in the hotel Resturant. They have meals for all tastes and reasonable prices. Best Hotel ever...

The place is right at the lake Sapanca.
Also the tree house and restaurant are separated by the garden in between. Tree house reside by the railroad, you will hear truck or car passing by sometimes. One or two times we heard passing car/train at night. The rest of the daytime, we hardly notice them.

The house is facing a very big lake which make it so peaceful looking at it the whole stay. I love how they set up the front porch and the sofa right by the windows. You can rest at the sofa with heater on in the house in winter.

The service is totally depends on the phone line in the room. No one will disturb you or even provide room cleaning service if you didn’t ask for it, for me is kinda odd.

We were running out of water to take shower in the morning, extremely difficult to finish the shower. For that reason I will leave a bad review. Maybe the water pump? not enough water pressure? I don’t know. It should be addressed and fixed long time ago... I am sure we are not the first customer complain about it.

Overall very nice tree house if you are looking for a nice view and don’t mind the car passing noise at night sometimes.

We order the breakfast at front porch the second day. And you need to call and tip them every time, which make it kinda expensive since this is not even a four stars hotel.

Strongly suggest to visit the nearby mountain.
They have the most beautiful sight of the valley.

en iyi odalarindan birinde kaldik ve odanin ici ve manzarasi guzeldi. fakat, mekan otelden cok restaurant ve kahvaltici olarak hizmet vermekte. otel musterilerinin vakit gecirebilecegi ortak bir alan yok. manzarasi huzurlu bir otel ama sessiz ve sakin bir seyahat istiyorsaniz tercih etmemenizi oneririm. oda sayisi az olmasina ragmen restaurant in dan dolayi oldukca hareketli ve gurultulu bir isletme.

Göl manzaralı ağaç evde konakladık. Odanın dizaynı ve manzarası çok güzel, otele geç giriş yaptığımız için akşam yemeğini otelin restaurantında yemeği tercih ettik, et yemeği kötü aşırı tuzlu ve kuru geldi ama düzelttiler. Akşam yemeğinde sağlı ve sollu olarak dört kişilik masalar vardı. Rahatça yemek yenilebiliyordu. Ancak sabah kahvaltıya indiğimizde bir tarafta dört kişilik masalar diğer tarafta ve ortada iki kişilik olmak üzere masalar ayrılmıştı. Otel oda kahvaltı olmasına ve otel müşterisi olmamıza rağmen dışardan gelen müşterilerin rezervasyon yaptığından bahisle iki kişilik kahvaltı masalarında sıkış tepiş kahvaltı yapmak zorunda kaldık. Kahvaltıya bir çok çeşit koymuşlar ama kahvaltının o masalara sığmayacağını hesaba katmamışlar sanırım. Sığmayan ürünleri yan tarafımızdaki masaya koydular, masayı birleştirilim dediğimizde de o masa rezervasyonlu birleştiremeyiz şeklinde bir yanıt vermeleri son derece saçmaydı. Otel personeli de çözüm odaklı olmaktan ziyade son derece kaba. Sonuçta oda kahvaltı hizmet veren bir otelin daha çok para kazanma düşüncesiyle otel imkanlarını dışarı açsa dahi verdiği hizmet kalitesini düşürmemesi gerekir! Otel müşterisiyseniz ancak rezervasyonunuz yoksa dışardan gelen rezervasyonlu müşterilere öncelik tanıyorlar, gidecek olanlar buna dikkat etsin bence, otel müşterisi olsanız da mutlaka rezervasyon yaptırın. Ayrıca oda güzel olsa da sifon bozuktu, klima da aşırı sesli çalışıyordu. Bence otel olarak değil, restaurant olarak devam etsinler..

For its price and rating, I expected it to be a quiet hotel on the shore of the lake. It wasn't. Right behind the hotel is a road where loud trucks passed by (10 meters from our treehouse room). Right behind that are railroad tracks (20 meters away -- look on a map!). There's also a mosque 50-100 meters away. We often had to pause the show we were watching whenever a truck or train passed by or the call to prayer sounded, because we had trouble hearing the program. The room was nice and the breakfast was good. But if you're looking for a quiet getaway in nature by the lake, this is not the place! It wasn't worth the price.
