The setting of this hotel is so dreamy!!! The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I love that they provide tuk tuk transportation into town! Make sure you request a room with a view. The view at breakfast is perfect, they had plenty of food options for everyone. It was my husband's birthday, and they surprised him with a cake and champagne at breakfast. This hotel just seems to go above and beyond the expectations! We will be back to Carvoeiro, and we will absolutely be staying with Tivoli again!
I do think the hotel could use a small renovation, and I did not love that they didn't put us in a room with a views, but I really cannot think of any other complaints! It was such an awesome stay!!!

Pelo preço esperava muito mais. Comida no estilo resort, ou seja bastante industrializada. Comida do bar sem qualidade alguma (ausência de tempero, apresentação)! Chão do banheiro e do pequeno almoço sem comentários e, limpeza de forma geral deixou muito a desejar para um hotel que cobra mais de 300 euros por noite.

The room was quiet. It had everything that we needed. I like that they offer a free drink if one skips housekeeping. Which is a nice and "green" idea. I think the hotel could improve the advertisement for this special by making it more obvious to travelers that they can opt in for this. Maybe the card should say "FREE DRINK" and then more people would take advantage of it.
We booked half board and I think the dinner was very good, especially on the lobby floor.
We were disappointed that there was more beach access as was advertised in the photos. I think the hotel should update its pictures and make it clear in the hotel description that there is no access to the beach. It was not clear to us at all.
Furthermore, the rooms could use a facelift. Everything is a bit heavily used and the balcony door for example is tough to open and close.
The pool is extremely kid-friendly, which is great for anyone with kids. Visually, the pool area is not really attractive, as there is a bit metal fence that blocks off the two parts of the pool.
The gym could use additional treadmills. It's also annoying that neither staff nor visitors close the doors to the gym and the accompanying bathrooms. Men were constantly walking through the women's changing room because all the doors were left open.
And there could be more love for detail. The wall clock in the steam room and sauna area wasn't working and needed a new battery. It's the little things that matter to make something a five-star-hotel.
Had a beautiful view. And a few different view spots which was nice.
The beach was not accessible which was pretty misleading from the hotel. It was in fact chained off. There were 2 inch roaches in the hallways and smaller ones in the rooms. The hallways felt dingy, dark and more like a motel than a five star hotel.
