A great stay with the best fish
Pros:

Enjoying a lovely stay here and just had dinner at the roof top sushi restaurant. Hands down the best fish I have had plus excellent service from Matalda.

Gorgeous area of the Algarve, would highly recommend!
Pros:

That it is surrounded by sea and cliffs, so lovely to wake up to!

Cons:

The gym was smaller than I expected, not the standard I had expected. Also the outdoor pool was too cold!

Pros:

Beautiful location. Easy walk to many attractions and restaurants. In house restaurants where excellent. The breakfast buffet was exceptional

Good hotel BAD Service

Cons:

The room was cleaned but not restocked with water, coffee pods and coffee cups after previous occupation. I asked for the water and they brought it. Unfortunately we were indisposed to go out. I ordered hen consomme from the food service menu and the list said it costs 5.50Euros. I was charged 12.95Euros which is nowhere near. Also it was really tasteless. Probably the worst I have ever tasted. There was a lot of noise from work being done all day long.

Great hotel
Pros:

The hotel was great, the staff and service could not have been better. The food and drinks were perfect, couldn’t fault It at all.

It was a very present stay overall and it’s probably much nicer when all the facilities are open

It has a very nice setting overlooking the sea and the rocks

Cons:

They was upgrading the decking around the pool so there was lots of drilling and clattering plus there’s improvements to the side of the property where there was pneumatic drill hammering away at the ground which we could feel through the flooring of the room.
One of the reasons we chose the hotel was for the sky bar of which when we went to go there it was closed until later in the season, but this was not notified on our booking beforehand.

Disappointing - major works taking place which spoilt the holiday totally

Booked the Tivoli for 4 nights for a quick relaxing break away, planning on doing nothing other than chilling around the pool and enjoying nice meals.

Checked in late Monday night having booked a Deluxe Ocean View room - room and balcony very small, did not seem like a deluxe room. Called reception and were moved to a much nicer, bigger room with a larger balcony. Ate in the bar which was the only option at 10,30pm - food was disappointing for the money.

Next morning went out on to the balcony and our view was of building works taking place in front of the rooms next to the pool area (replacing the pool deck). Had breakfast which was a pretty standard hotel breakfast, nothing special.

After breakfast wandered down to the pool and all you could hear was the machine grinding up the old deck. Sat for a short while but wasn't relaxing at all. Also an eyesore when sat at the pool. On a side note there were very few beds around the pool, no tables for drinks and when we asked the waiter about towels for the beds, we were told there was none available out of season !

Complained to customer services about the building works and advised that we wished to leave the hotel as our relaxing week around the pool certainly could not take place with the works going on. I was advised that the works had to be undertaken and were out of season which was the best time for them. I totally understood this HOWEVER feel that this should have been on the hotel website when booking as we certainly would not have booked this hotel had we known. I asked for a refund of the remaining nights but was told that it was a non refundable booking. Again I understood this however having been mis sold a relaxing holiday I feel that a refund should have been made. We were offered a move to another hotel in Vilamoura (where we specifically didn't want to stay) at a cost of an additional £150 !! or a room to a suite.

Left with no option we moved to the suite which was a lovely room however the balcony was small and overlooked the side of the hotel.

We spent the days out of the hotel as we did not wish to sit listening to building works. We are outside the hotel to get a better quality of food.

On our last morning we sat by the pool as we had to check out at 12 and all morning all you could hear was the building works taking place at the pool. Everyone at the pool was complaining about it.

The hotel is in a lovely position on the cliff (no beach access) and the pools could be lovely however our holiday was totally spoilt by the building works. Overall extremely disappointing. Would not recommend whilst the building works to the pool deck are being undertaken

Traumhafte Lage, hervorragendes Frühstück, äußerst freundliches Servicepersonal

Cons:

Zimmermädchen waren etwas nachlässig; gebrauchte Tassen und Gläser wurden nicht weggeräumt bzw. Tischplatte wurde nicht gesäubert ; Matratzen sind leider etwas durchgelegen

Pleasant overall and easily accessible to walk to nearby towns.
Pros:

Location outlook to sea cove and welcoming reception area. Great selection and service for breakfast.

Cons:

Mid pool, decking repairs and building undergoing and needing some upgrading and repair works. The indoor pool is disjointed on a separate floor to the spa and gym area.

Lovely cliff side location
Pros:

Lovely staff and very comfortable hotel. It did not matter to us as our activities were outside the hotel but be aware there are major building works going on at the hotel. They do detract from a relaxing stay particularly if you want to sit by the pool. Worth checking when these are going to be finished.
